Question about FUJIFILM A170 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My Fugifilm Camara isn't letting me view the screen. You can see it just barely...Barely. It still works properly like it should, it's just the screen. My parents have fixed it before by pressing buttons, but later come to realize that they don't remeber what they did.

If it's a software setting, there is a brightness setting in the menu for the LCD- refer to your manual, or just navigate around until you find it. If you need a manual, you can download one here:
http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/a/fujifilm_a170/
If it's not a software setting, the backlight might be going out, in which case the LCD screen will have to be replaced. You can do it yourself, and usually find them on Ebay.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

The microphone on my vtech phone isn't working properly. I can hear people fine, but they can barely hear me.

Please use an external handsfree headphone set and if the voice is clear then the microphone in the phone is a suspect. Please CLEAN the port of the mic on the panel to remvove any obstruction or dirt accumulation.
If this wont help then the microphone must be replaced.

SCREEN IS BARELY VISIBLE WHAT IS WRONG??/

Oh no the replacement of the back light is a complex process and is not advisable for you to open up the LCD for its replacement as the LCD might get damaged in the process and might void you warranty. It is always advisable to contact the manufacturer or a service person to get it changed.

Really dark (not usable) screen

The backplane power supply, and or the backplane lamps are probably dead. In some models these parts are replaceable. In most of the models, the backplane lamps are an integral part of the screen unit, and cannot be replaced without changing the complete screen unit.

Call the manufacture tech support to find out where you can send the set for a proper service estimate.

Usually, hitting the 'F7" button while holding down the 'Fn' button (function button) will brighten your screen.

Also, if you're running on battery, to conserve battery power, most notebooks will dim the screen... you can override those settings by going into the control panel and into the power settings (easiest found on the old 'classic view').

If none of that works, your video display could be starting to go bad. Let us know how you fare and we'll go from there!

Good Luck!
