I have a Verizon DSL Westell 6100 modem that connects me to AOL. Several times a day, I loose my internet connection. The DSL light blinks and the internet light goes out. The only way I can get it back is to make a phone call. (I have a filter on my phone). However, most times the LCD screen on the phone says "Searching" and I have to wait until that goesd away to make the call. Verizon says it is my computer. Can you help me? I am not very good with computers at all but this is driving me mad.

That means that the phone is interfeering with the broadband. Often you fix this kind of problems by replacing the broadband filter. If it does not work after replacement it means there is a problem either with phone line or with broaband provider.
In this case contact first ISP (broaband provider), then your phone company to locate the problem.
Most likely it is the filter.
