Look at the bottom of your printer, there are four parts of thick sponges and two big ones and then another two small pieces.
To replace the waste ink tank, follow these steps:

  1. You have to unscrew the back of the printer, there are four screws
  2. After you remove the back on the left hand side there are two sockets installed on for the feeder and then another for the scanner, remove the sockets, and unscrew the ground wires
  3. Remove the feeder
  4. To remove the scanner, press the botton on the right hand side the printer will open, you will then see it is attached with a white joint, simply remove the axe, by pushing it with a screw driver. There are two screws on the right hand side, remove them and you will find the mother board. remove the wires related to the scanner, after that you can remove it by opening the scanner 180 degrees, free the joint in the right hand first
  5. After removing the scanner, you have to unscrew the mother board, four or five screws, remove all the wire sockets.put it in a safe place, you have to reset it by connecting the battary poles for ten seconds.
  6. Remove the metal plate, there are four screws Remove the sockets connected to the small board .
  7. Look on the right hand you will see one screw under the small board you can remove it without removing it. You have two in the back and one in the left hand side remove them all, now you can remove the big part of the printer.
  8. When you remove it you will find the waste basket and all the the waste toner. be careful with cleaning, remove the sponges, clean them and dry them and then clean the bottom of the printer from toner and return them,
dont forget to install all of the sockets again

Alarm button is blinking and paper is not fed in machine

You need to look at the display (LED window) to see what is displayed. It will give you an error message such as "Clear paper Jam," etc. If nothing is displayed, press the "Resume" key to the left. The light should go off.

Alarm light is flashing, data says check printer, press resume. ##345 comes up also.

##345 is jammed cartridge error.
Look for any obstruction or foreign matter in the area of the purge unit.
If this not help you may have a problem in purge unit.In this unit there is an axis which broke. You need to replace the Purge Unit.

Paper jam that isn't

You could try a partial reset of the printer
Unplug the power cord
Reconnect power cord
When lights are flashing, press & hold On/Resume and PaperSize buttons
When only the On/Resume light is flashing, release both buttons
When On/Resume light is steady, reset is completed

I have got error code 5100

5100 error code means there is somekind of obstruction inside the printer thats interfering with the printing process. You have to check the inside the printer especially near the gears and under the rollers. The obstruction can be anything like a small piece of paper, a paper clip, ball pin etc., check thoroughly and you will find it. Post back if you need more help.

What paper jam?

Does the printer even try to pick a piece of paper from the supply tray? If not, then it would appear that a sensor somewhere in the paper path is bad, either mechanically or electronically. Often, these sensors have a lever which touches the paper. If by chance the lever is broken or stuck it won't give a correct message to the logic circuit. If by chance the sensor is electronically defective, it would still give a bad message to the logic, and it would need to be replaced. Logic circuitry could be bad, in which case, replace the printer. With the lowcost printer/all-in-one units these days, it seems fixya has a continual flow of inquiries. Maybe this will give you some help.
