If you want to tether your phone's data plan to your computer, go to 'Start > Programs > Internet Sharing'. You will be allowed to connect to your PC through either USB or bluetooth PAN.
Hope it works for you.
This is how mine goes(with Plantronics PULSAR P590) 1--turn on bluetooth on your phone 2--select hands free 3--select add-(the (phone will start looking for devices)
4--start with earpiece Power OFF 5--then hold call botton and keep it pressed while turning on the device [the device may flash blue (indicating bluetooth) the phone should then be able to sense the earpiece device and display the device name on the phone screen.] 6-highlight the device on the phone and select [the phone will reply with a pass key code request] enter "0000" end hit select/ok [your earpiece is now added to your phone] 7-your earpiece is now set up. [Ensusure that bluetooth is ON on your phone first] To activate the earpiece in the future turn it on and press the call button. This may help.
I cannot say I have the answer to this, but I am using a Jabra JX10 and it is working well. I previously had a Nokia 6256i, which I loved, but wouldn't work with the bluetooth at all. If you have not tried a Jabra, I would recommend it. Also, if you haven;t tried for a replacement phone, consider the possibility it might be the phone itself.
Hi--First, make sure your "mute" function is off. Try holding both volume buttons at the same time for a second or two. If that doesn't help, while you're having a conversation, either with or without bluetooth, make sure your phone's volume is turned up. On a lot of phones the volume button will control both ringer and conversation volumes, but turning it up without the phone in use only affects the ringer volume. My husband thought there was something wrong with his bluetooth until we noticed his phone volume was set too low--not as noticeable on handset, but bluetooth apparently needs volume up pretty high!
