Question about KitchenAid Superba Architect KSCS25INSS Side by Side Refrigerator

Open Question

I have a built-in 48" KitchenAid fridge KSSC48FTS00. It is cooling fine. However, the beautiful blue display panel and the temp # are all out. The interior lights are now out too. I have turned it off using the on/off button under the exterior grill and have also shut power down completely in our homes circuit breaker. Turned everything back on, but the fridge is still dark. Could a power surge cause this? Or is it something else?

SOURCE: refrigerator not cooling / fan not turning

Yes , replace the fan motor . Part number 833697 . Also make sure the coils are clean of dust , lint etc. Be sure to reinstall the back panel , after replaceing the motor , as this motor cools the coils and the compressor . ( only 3 screws hold the fan motor on , easily repaired .)

Extended warranties usually are not worth the cost. My guess is that KitchenAid wants you to pay $73 out of pocket even though it should be absorbed as part of the warranty replacement of the refrigeration system.

I have a Kitchenaid S x S KSCS25INSS00 refrig/freezer. We lost power for 30 hours, it worked fine before the outage, now it won't cool the fridge below 48 degrees, or the freezer below 43 degrees. ...

Try replacing the circulating fan first. If it's not turning, it's more than likely bad. However, the fan might not be your only problem. The problem may lie with the icemaker. The icemaker is essentially the brain of the unit. It tells when to cool, when to defrost and when to maintain temp. Your icemaker may be stuck in defrost mode.

My freezer is freezing food fine but my refrigerator seems to be warm and not cooling like it should. The temp control has been adjusted to a higher setting but does not seem to help.

if your freezer is working your fridge is fine
Your problem probably started a couple weeks ago when the drain that allows defrosted ice (water) to drain into the drain pan at the base of your fridge became plugged for some reason. Then everytime the fridge went on defrost more water melted but did not drain which in turn froze. Now ice has built up and caused the air that flows into the fridge to be blocked, causing a warm fridge.... my advice is to leave fridge unplugged for 48 hrs to thaw it and find the cause of the water not to drain... could be a corn niblet or pea from the freezer... the tube should be visible from the inside or the back

Pour about 1/2 cup of water into the icemaker . If it dumps then water valve is the problem . If not , then icemaker is the problem . Make sure the laser switch on r/side of freezer is on . and the coils at the bottom of fridge are clean ( icemaker must be 5 degrees to operate ).

Control panel not working Samsung refrigerator model rs2533sw. Not cooling.

I have a samsung refrigertor rs2555sl and my control panel stopped working after I turned the power off to the house (to install a light fixture elsewhere). There was one green light blinking on the refrigerator temp display.

Hold down the "power freeze" and "power cool" buttons at the same time for at least 8 seconds. This is a self diagnostic program. A number should appear on the refrigerator temp display (1-9)...it will hold for 30 seconds and then the panel should function again.

In my case the number that appeared was "3" which can indicate a multitude of things including a short circuit or power outage (which was it was for me).

Hope this helps!
