Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Well i can tell you where to get both your mac and ip address. Go to the start button on the bottom left hand corner of your pc. in the search box type cmd. click the program called cmd. a black window should appear. now type in ipconfig/all then press enter.
look for the information in the box. it should tell you the ip and mac. along with other stuff.

Have netgear, trying to get x-box live on computer that is wireless. it will not work

you can go with the following steps to configure the x-box live with netgear:-
1)First and foremost you should be aware of the wireless settings you have on the router i.e ssid(broadcast name) and the type of security(wep or wpa-psk) and the password for that.
2)On the X-Box get into the setting's menu where you will find and option for wireless set up and then scan for the network , it will automatically scan your ssid , select that and will ask for the password enter that and you will be connected.
3)Go for the connection test if it's successful then play games with it and if not then follow these procedure:-
a)Get any computer which has the internet access to it , Open the IE page and in the address bar type http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1/, a small window will prompt up asking for user name and password which is admin and password respectively.
b)You will be navigated to router administrator page , you will have a blue/purple column on the left hand side which has the different setting options in there.
c)Under the title Advanced you will find a subtitle WAN set up left click on that option and the page will appear in the middle of the screen.
d)Under WAN set up there is an icon for DMZ server tick that box and then enter the ip address:-192.168.0.20 and and left click on apply at the bottom and the page will get refreshed.
e)Go back to X-box live and under wireless set up select manual setting's , it will ask to enter the following information:-
ssid(broadcast name)
security type(wep/wpa-psk) and password to it
ip address:-192.168.0.20
subnet mask:-255.255.255.0
default gateway:-192.168.0.1
Primary DNS:-192.168.0.1
Secondary DNS:-leave that blank and apply the setting's

Cannot get on xbox live

The IP addres it is asking for is from your wireless router. (You do have one hooked up, rigth?) You can get this by going to any of your PCs at home and opening a DOS command prompt. Usually you can get there by clicking Start and clicking on Run. A little box opens. Type in cmd and hit Enter. Up comes the black window with white text. You will type in ipconfig /all. There is a space between the g and /all. Up pops the IP configuration for your home system. If my old man's memory serves correctly, it will need the Default Gateway address typed in from which it will get its own IP address. I admit it has been about 3 months since I hooked up my last one but I believe that to be the correct method. After that, it will send out a test signal to make sure you can access the Live features. Let me know if this helps you.

I can't find the IP Address on my ARRIS Router!

the ip address should be given automatically by the router but since it is asking,
in your computer go to start, run, type in cmd and hit enterm
it should open a black box in that box type in ipconfig and hit enter,
it should give u a list of result, search the one which says ip address,
if the ip address of ur computer is 192.168.1.2,then the ip address for your xbox should be 192.168.1.7,
if the ip address is different than the example i gave you just make sure that the difference between the last numbers should be 5 atleast....let me kno the ip address of your computer and i can tell what ip address u need
for the xbox...........
