If you have a pentair intellichlor, you'll need a cleaning kit or a way to cap one end. remove the union nuts at each end, cap one end and fill the cell with diluted muriatic acid. If you're not comfortable handling acid, call a pool service tech. You may have to drain and refill the cell several times to clean all of the scale out.

I have a Pentair 320 automatic chlorine feeder. I have filled it with chlorine tabs, but I am still getting a zero reading for chlorine when I test my pool water. Can it be plugged?

It can be but probably isn't. A three inch tab is meant only to maintain your chlorine level. You must first bring the chlorine level up to specs, by adding either liquid or powdered chlorine, than add one or two tabs a week to hold it at that level.

Cleaning the inside -Pentair 320 Chlorinator Model R172276

their is a set screw in the side of the chlorinator towards the bottom (you should see a little hole in the side of the chlorinator near the base). remove that screw and the chlorinator will unscrew from the base.
