Question about Hoover F5872-900 SteamVac Wet/Dry Vacuum

1 Answer

My Hoover stopped sucking! If I use the attachment for stairs that works just fine, but in the upright mode for carpet it won't **** at all.

The tube in the power head probably has either a clog or a leak/crack. Since the hose attachment works fine, then the hose should be clear. You may be able to clear it without much difficulty, but replacement should be done at the Hoover shop.

When hose is attached to Hoover Spin Scrub 50 sucking and solution come out fine but solution is also pouring out the bottom of Hoover

Hello! Make sure that the cleaner is in the upright position when you are using the hose. This ensures that all solution goes through the hose and not the cleaner. Be sure the black tabs on connector coupler are pushed out prior to inserting into the stair cleaning connection. If you have done this and the cleaner is still leaking, we recommend taking to an authorized repair center for service. Follow the link to locate a service center near you.

Why does The beater bar on my hoover continue to run in the upright position?

Hi there! Some vacuums do not come with the feature that automatically shuts the brushes off when in the upright position.. If your unit is like this, be sure to put the vacuum on the highest setting when using the hose. Also, because the brush-roll continues to spin, avoid tipping cleaner or setting it on furniture, fringed area rugs, or carpeted stairs during tool use. Hope this was helpful!

Can't get it to **** up water from the carpet

Check the filter on the bottom side of the lid, make sure it has at least 1/4 inch gap from the top of the filter to the to of the lid. Is the lid secured all of the way around and not loose on the back part of it. Is the duct in place in front of the tank?

Stair attachment has weak suction

Did you put the duct in for the hose? It goes in front of the tank, take out the duct (#3)that is there and put in the duct that is on the end of the hose. Is there a slit somewhere in the hose, if so you will loose suction.
