Why would the lg r410a start cooling then stop?

If its low on refrigerant, the low pressure switch will drop out the compressor. If it has an extremely dirty condensor, the high pressure switch will drop out the compressor. If it has a bad condensor fan, the high pressure switch will drop out the compressor. If the internal overload of the compressor is weak and it is marginally low on refrigerant, the compressor will stop until it cools down. The list goes on and on and on.... These are the first four most obviouse that comes to mind.

GE ptac won't stop running

heat or cool mode. most have a freeze protection keep room from freezing. or in cooling may need a tech support walk thru the codes if electrical/thermostatic issues. worse case refrigerant.

My A C conpressor is cycleing realy fast, every few min. would it be the conpressor capacitor ?

No. It is "short cycling" probrably because it is low on refrigerant which means there is a leak somewhere. The refrigerant cools your compressor windings. If it is low it cannot cool the windings and it will stop the compressor due to a temp overload. As soon as the compressor cools back down it closes the bi-metal switch and allows the compressor to start again. The cycle will repeat itself until the compressor finally quits. Hope this helps.

Haier Mini spilt HSU18VC7 compressor runs for 5 minutes then stop 3 minutes then run another 5 minutes and so on.

This is called short cycling. It sounds like the compressor is getting hot and opening a bi-metal overload, which shuts the compressor off. The compressor cools, because it is not running and the bi-metal contacts close allowing the compressor to start again. This will repeat itself and is usually due to low refrigerant, which usually means there is a leak in the normally sealed refrigerant lines. The refrigerant cools the compressor windings and if it is low it cannot do that, hence the shutting off of teh compressor, cooling down process and restarting of your compressor. Short cycling will ultimately ruin the compressor.

If this has helped you please give me a rating worthy of my diagnosis.

My kenmore window unit AC started blowing a white smoke like substance. It seems to be cooling fine. What is this and is it a concern?

The two things it could be, #1 - evaporator leaking refrigerant - unlikely if unit is still cooling o.k. because window units do not hold a lot of refrigerant and if there is a leak bad enough to blow smoke it would have stopped cooling by now. #2 - the humidity is high and the unit has cooled the air right at the discharge down below the dewpoint, a common occurence in window units and automobiles due to the short duct distance from the evaporator to the air outlet whereas with central air systems having longer duct systems the air gains more heat before being discharged into the room.

Coils stop feeding intermittenly not always the same circuit

You could have a solenoid prblem or just low of refrigerant. Need a qualified service tech to check charge. Rusty

A/c wont cool despite 2/3 cans refrigerant

A failed compressor can cause this problem, including having a leak that can not be patched with leak stop.

After you turn on the A/C unit, does the compressor "kick in" within a minute of turning the unit on? Do you hear any "clicking" sounds? If yes, post back here and we can take the next step.
