Installing windows xp 2006 with service pack 2

hi , i want to format the pc and to install from boot up but there is no command which say" touch any key to boot from cd" and there is no change on the pc ( cd drive doesn't turn) but when i change cd that means similar windows cd the command prompt is seen. please tell me the solution , thank you very much.

You should set the first boot to redirect to the cd ROM boot.
Go to the bios setup by pressing " F2" or "DElete" and first boot.
In there find the boot sequence or boot order something like that and set it to cd rom (pls follow the screen instruction when selecting some option) . after selecting the boot order press "F10" to save and exit.
some PC you can select by pressing "F9" and the first boot and you will be directed to the boot selection automatically.
