Tv sreen wont turn on

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

My tv is plugged in but wont turn on, there is a green flashing light (timer) how do i fix this?

hi sir good day the green light indicator flashing which indicates error detected by processor. now here is my solution on how will you fix the problem. if you are going to do it with your make sure you have proper tools and at least a basic knowledge in repairing. now unplugged the unit then open the back cover to gain access the internal part of the tv. now disconnect the connector wire going to inverter board for back light then turn the tv, if the indicator stays green doesn't blink then all the voltage out put from the power supply is normal the 5v stand by,5v switch, 12v and 24v are present, you have bad inverter board or the back light itself. another way is if you disconnect the connector wire going to inverter ballast board then still light indicator flashing and no PS_ON voltage coming from the main board which switch the power supply to turn on i may say you have bad processor board. make sure no bulging capacitors at the power supply replaced it with the same value a panasonic brand FM or FC series much better with low ESR 105c rating. you can find replacement parts at www.digikey.com . hope this will help you feel free to ask further question good luck.

We had a power outage. Power is back on. Can't get tv to turn on. Timer light is blinking a green light. I tried the system reset that did not work. The tv is plugged into a surge protector. Any ideas

Blinking light ofdeath ONLY 1 of 2 things can cause this problem----

First thing to do is remove front speaker grill--it should pull out and issecured with plastic pegs--behind it you will find an inspection plate---

Notice the one or two pairs of wires coming from the front keyboard of theset---remove the inspection plate and follow the wires to the right--you canunplug both plugs(most have two and they are marked with letters and differents so you cannot get them wrong)

The idea here is to remove the front keyboard with its reset button etc fromthe circuit---You will still be able to try to turn the set on with theremote---

These sets have a Receiver that is called a DM board--(large metal box to theleft as you look from the back) and if the power goes out the green light willblink for about 70 seconds and then go out---it is the Receiver booting up. Itis called the DM board.

If disconnecting the keyboard allows the set to turn on--you have a bad resetswitch and two choices---either operate the set only with the remote or toremove the front screen and get at the reset switch (it is tiny) and removeand/or replace it.

If disconnecting the keyboard does not restore the set to operation---thereceiver is bad---there are 4 or more caps and some pico fuses that can fail inthat unit---Mitsubishi no longer sells or repairs these--if it is bad and notthe caps there is a company you can send the unit to and have it repaired--ifyou need to know their name let me know---

You can call them and get a quote for repairing the receiver.

Let me know what more information you need--I am here to help.

If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpfulas I do this here for free.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?

I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.

  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.

  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.

  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.

Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:

  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

Open up the front, look under the right side picture tube. Look for puddle of oil on signal board. If you see this, it has bad picture tube & signal board. Not a good repair.

Red light green light on off all time tv will not turn on

ok if you have just replaced the bulb, first try taking out the bulb unit and putting it back in, if you have already tried this, then disconnect everything from the TV unplug it find a nice sturdy place where you can place the tv, at the back of the tv remove the lower back panel ONLY, the screws you need to remove will have an arrow pointing to them, once removed clean all built up dust, remove cooling fan and clean from dust , check it spins ok, remove silver plate in the middle and remove any built up dust, just to the right of the fan there is a sensor unsrew and remove check it is free from dust, on the left of the fan is a micro switch unplug but do not pull on wires to the far right you will see a retainer bar upright (silver) remove this, gentley pull all the circuit board assembly back it will not come out far, on the back circuit board unplug the top two plugs top left but DO NOT pull on wires pull the circuitry board forward just a fraction more, and behind it is yet another multi plug, pull out the one to the left and plug back in but clear any dust in mean time, gently put everything back and plug all that you have unpluged back in gently, put all bars and covers back on, and re-install equip to tv........ this is what i did to mine when i had this probem today after bulb replacement and it now works fine
