Hello alldown,

I am completely baffled . Afer a full system restore on my computer. I downloaded the complete pinnacle version 11, now the version I have has the red dazzle unit that i had purchased seperately .

When trying to capture this is the signal that pops up.

A valid input signal has not been detected.

Before this I had no problem with any capture .

I will note my camera is a SONY handy cam some 6 years old
all analog, until this point I had no problem with capturing .
all is plugged into the same ports and I continue to get this pop up.

Now I think that with the dazzle unit it came with cds to down load into my computer . however, they say version 10 of pinnacle .
My computer guy tells me that I do not need to download this CD.
...note with the dazzle there are three CDs 1 studio quickstart version 10.. 2 Instant DVD recorder... 3 Pinacle studio Bonus DVD-NTSC rev. 2.10...

I think I need at least one of these downloaded ...

Any help on this one will be gtreatly appreciated ..

Signed Perplexed

Keith

My computer will not install the dazzle DVC100 driver so I cant select it as a video source on the Pinnacle Instant DVD recorder. what do I do?

Hi and Welcome to Fixya,

The reason why it is now showing because your computer did not detect it. If your Windows operating system is vista 64 bit then go ahead and download the driver in here. www.pinnaclesys.com then click on support, download/Studio and dazzle hardware for vista.

Hopefully it helps you.

I need a picture of how to hook up the dazzle to the vcr

If your trying to capture from a vcr make sure that the cables "composite are connected at the back make sure it is plug in to the video out.

Next, connect the cables directly to the dazzle.

make sure that the vcr is on and it is playing.

In the program Instant DVD Recorder please go to the step 1 select the dazzle as your video source not pinnacle file capture.

Then click option check the VHS input.
Video input must be composite if your using the composite
Audio input must be the dazzle.

Upon installing Dazzle, there was good audio sound but no video.

On the start up of the instant DVD recorder program, you can either use the "let the wizard guide you" or "advance mode"

1. Select source:
you should select the options:

Video standard NTSC (Because this is the default in our region)
Video composite - if you are using RCA (red, yellow and white cables)
S-video - if you are using the cable with several pins in it.

2. Select Burner
You should select the options:
Hard disc folder - if you will be saving the content in your hard drive, the format of this files are DVD such as VOB and IFO etc.
TSST - _ _ _ _ - if you will selecting your DVD drive.

(If you have selected your DVD Burner and you cannot click "next" to proceed to the Third option,
this means that your DVD drive is not able to burn a DVD)

3. Select menus
It must be NO

4. Recording
select total recording time (make sure that Dazzle is selected in the "select source" to set the total recording time, if the Dazzle is not available, try other USB ports or download the drivers in the link below)

At Step 4 of the installation, each time I hit "Start Recording," I get a pop-up message that says "Please enter a valid record time." But, it will not let me enter a time into the box.

it is becuase the dazzle capture device is not selected as your video source. Please try to go back to step number 1 select video source . Make sure that pinnacle file capture is not selected but the dazzle is selected then try it again.
