If the unit has worked properly in the past it probably means your compreesor is getting weak a hard start kit should fix your problem but of coarse be SURE to check your wiring for lose connections make sure everything is properly sized and you have enough amps on you breaker

Flavel milano e50. Why does everything except the oven work?

Check the circuit breaker for the oven. 220 volts are necessary for the heating element. 110 volts for the light and clock controls. The 220 volt breaker looks like two side by side breakers with their trip levers joined. Sometimes one will trip without tripping the other. Try resetting the breaker or better yet replace it.

How to replace a fuse in a hotpoint

Check the circuit breaker for the plug the dryer uses. Open your house power panel and locate the breaker for the dryer. It will be 2 breakers connected together by a metal pin so when one trips it will trip the other. This shuts off 240 volts. Sometimes only one breaker will trip without tripping the other one. This leaves the dryer with 115 volts to work the rest of the machine but won't power the heating element. Replacing the breaker will fix the dryer.

Lg microwave oven trips circuit breaker

The magnetron probably has a partial short pulling more current than normal as it runs, the other two items that give trouble is the high voltage diode, "sometimes cracks" to the high voltage capacitor, "usually shorts"

Will not power on

I assume that you have checked the curcuit breaker? If not, go to the electrical panel. It should be marked "stove" or "range" etc. Sometimes even if the breaker looks like it has not tripped..... it has.

Just flip it to off and then back on. That will reset it. If it trips again leave it off !!! and call an electrician or service repair company. If it stays on and the stove works, you should be fine. Sometimes small anomilies in the curcut causes the breaker to trip.

Good luck

The dryer will not turn on. I know I have power because the light is on. But nothing happens when I hit start

Check for a tripped circuit breaker (a ganged double breaker), sometimes only one breaker trips without tripping the other. Switch breakers off and then back on. If you have access to a voltmeter, check for 220 volts AC at the the two slanted slots in the dryer socket. Occasionally, one breaker of the pair will fail internally--replace the pair. If 220 volts is present, then problem is internal to the dryer. Usually, it is a short circuit in the heating element which causes the circuit breaker trip.
