This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Newer model Whirlpool / Kenmore washers use a Lid Switch as a safety device. Unless the switch senses that the lid on the washer is closed, the washer will neither agitate nor spin.

Older models only used the switch during the spin cycle.

Try to bypass the Lid Switch by removing the Console and jumping the two outermost pins on the switch.

This is a Whirlpool PDF on how these washers operate. It has a diagram on jumping the switch as well as a detailed section on how the transmission works.

It also has a troubleshooting guide.

To bypass the switch, you only have to disconnect the power to the washer, tilt the console back, unplug the switch and using an short piece of insulated wire, jump the two outermost contacts on the connector coming from the console and plug the washer back in.

Following is a description of how to gain access to the console and how to remove the cabinet if necessary.

With the jumper in place, try to re-start the washer.

If it works, the Lid Switch is a relatively inexpensive part and only requires you to access the console and remove the cabinet.

How do i fix damaged left door problem?

By left side I assume you mean the fuser side. There are tabs on the left door that activate optical sensors in the printer body. Best option is to find a copy of the manual so you can see where the sensors are and either find a way to fix the door or jimmy the sensors. Please keep in mind that most of these sensors not only ensure that the doors and panels are closed, but shut down power to those sections to make it safe when printer is open. Every now and then, the machine refused to start. We noticed that if we banged the door shut, it would start. Then it refused to start at all. We then realised that if we held the door shut for several...

Not a terribly difficult job, just remove the Top Panel (usually 2 screws locking it at the back, depending on your make & model), then you can reach it from the top. As a temporary (and cost-less) solution, you could always bridge the wires connected to it. This will allow the machine to work, but you will have to be sure to keep the door shut when it is operating (Mishaps do happen)

I am unable to give you an indication of price of the Door Lock because I have no real idea which Make or Model you are referring to.

Kind Regards

Door ajar light stays on but all the doors apear to be shut?? 2003 Windstar

The post sensor needs to be adjusted the most common problem is the side door sometimes it's the switch goes bad and other times the sensor has to be adjysted, the sensor will be on the door post by the passenger side door at the bottom. Look for it you will see it. Aslo the rollers go bad on the top of the door and when shut may close but will not kill the door ajar light the front upper roller assembly is the most common problem, it has three bolts you can unblot and remove and then pull it out and see if the rollers are bad if there is plastic missing or flat spots on the rollers replace them a roller kit that you can get from ford is 10 bucks and it doess all rollers hope this helsp and thanks for using fix-ya.

04 Beetle Driver's side window sensor issue (maybe?)

Not likely. You have a defective window regulator. To fix remove the door panel. Peel down the warer barier. Remove the window motor and check it. If the plastic plugs are defective replace. To remove the window regulator you will need a 1/4 inch punch to punch out the rivits and 1/4 inch drill to drill out the aluminum holding in the regulator. Replace these with 1/4 inch bolts and lock nuts.

The "Paper Jam" light on my Sharp AL-1631 copier stays on

The paper detector on the fixing units have a history of going bad. The fixing unit is the hot roller above the drum inside the right door on the top. As the copy comes thru the rollers the paper hits a plastic lever that is spring loaded and located in the middle of the fixing unit. The sensor is all the way to the right side of the fixing assembly. If you move the lever in the middle you'll see a piece of plastic moving on the right, that piece comes out of the sensor and if can't reset the jam, that piece may not be resetting itself back inside the sensor. This is difficult to try to explain.
Good luck

Liftmaster Garage Door Opener Problems...

The problem lies in the RPM sensor, most likely due to the interrupter cup assembly. The interrupter cup assembly is the black cap that runs through the RPM sensor. You may have forgotten to re-attach this piece or it is probably moving too far out when the garage sets in motion. To fix this, remove the cup assembly, unscrew the two screws on the top metal piece with a 1/8 allen wrench, push the metal piece as far in as possible and put the screws back on. This will give more room for the cup assembly to spin and be read by the RPM sensor. Hope this helps!
