Check you wiring. There are going to be 2 powers in the back of the radio. The yellow wire is the constan/memory wire. Make sure you have it hooked up to constant power.

SOURCE: ipod not working on a JVC KD331 cd/radio car player

Check your stereo for a button that says "Aux" or a "Function" button. It could also say something else depending on the radio. The one in my 93' Mustang says "Band" and in my truck it simply says "iPod" Just mess around a little bit and see what you find.

Where could i fond the wiring diagram for my Kenwood Excelon KDC-X592 Car CD/ MP3 Player?

There are vehicle - specific adapter plugs for after market radio hook ups. These adapters are used to connect the original plug that was connected to the original radio with the new radio's plug.

You didn't list what vehicle you have, year, model. You can do a web search with " (year and model of vehicle) radio wiring adapter".
Hopefully you'll find the adapter for your vehicle.

I need a wiring diagram for a 2006 dodge ram radio

Strongly recommend you buy a "snap on" Dodge - Kenwood adapter loom, from your local Auto Accessory store. This will save you cutting any wires, as these adapters are already pre-wired for plug and play and you can put your old radio back in at any stage.

Different or additional harness needed to install a Kenwood kdc 255u radio/cd player in a 2005 Scion XB?

Hi there,

YES.... to prevent cutting of any factory wiring (this use to be the old install method and requires much more time and expense) and potential electrical fires, you can now buy quite cheaply, what is called a Radio adapter harness.

As you wish to install a Kenwood radio to your Toyota Scion, simply buy an adapter loom which has a 2005 Toyota Plug on one end, with a Kenwood plug on the other (this essentially replaces the wiring loom that came with your Kenwood unit).

So, it's that easy .... Plug and Play.

And... if you sell your Toyota and wish to put your old Toyota radio back in, the original radio just plugs back in. PRESTO !

Hope this helps..

Cheers,

Scott

Connection compatibility

Connect the supplied short RCA "Y" adapter cable to the mini jack of the transmitter base unit. Connect the "Y" adapter plugs to the TAPE 2 "REC" L and R jacks. These jacks will supply "line out" levels of any source selected at the Kenwood to the EWOS1 internal amplifier. The line out levels are "fixed" so changing the volume levels of the Kenwood will NOT change the volume out of the EWOS1 speakers. The EWOS1 volume will be controlled by the volume up / down buttons on the front of each speaker, or by the incuded remote when directed at the speaker(s).

The signals from the TAPE 2 jacks are ALWAYS on regardless of the source selected, so the Kenwood volume can be turned to minium and still provide an unchanged sound level from the EWOS1 speakers. Likewise, if listening to FM, Phono, CD, etc. in the room that the Kenwood's speakers are located, the OWS1 speakers will by playing the same FM, Phono, CD, etc program - unless they have been powered off. The point is, that unlike having to choose FM, CD, etc to listen to those soreces, you should never select TAPE 2 as a source. If TAPE 2 is selected, the KENWOOD would attempt to amplify TAPE 2's "PLAY" jacks, which I assume are not being used.

Kenwood kdc-415s

if there is no amplifier separate from the radio - the blue /white wire from the back of the radio goes to the solid blue wire on the harness attached to the car's plug. the orange wire is not supported by the kenwood radio, so make sure you tape it well- if your not using a separate amp also tape up the blue/white wire coming off the harness you have coming out of the harness to the car. if this helps you please give me a good rating- if not please e-mail me at Merle840@aol.com respectfully M. Ipod

On the Kenwood models that are within about 6 or 7 years old or newer, there is an iPod adapter for the head units that plugs into the CD Changer port on the back of the radio. Kenwood makes an adapter (KCA-IP500) that gives direct control and charging through the radio and several companies make aux input adapters for Kenwood radios that will connect to the iPod's headphone jack.
