I have the same problem. GE repair man replaced the electronic control panel. If anything, the problem is worse. Does anyone know what ACTUALLY makes this range shut off as it gets up to temperature while baking? I don't really want to pay the repair man to fumble around debugging this.

We have exactly the same problem. After reset by taking if off the power, its back again. Look forward to a solution.

Mine appears to be fixed now. four parts were replaced. But I think two actually made a difference. One was the oven door gasket. Mine had a flat spot on the upper right corner that let oven heat out under the control panel. The other part was the fan assembly (WB26K10008 - Blower Tangential). For the past week I have been daily turning the oven on to temperatures around 325-350. And every time it has worked as expected.

It seems to be fixed now, simply by improving the tightness of the oven door.

I knew the fan was OK, so I checked the gasket on the door. I looked more carefully, and noticed there was hot air leaking out of the top end of the oven door, directly heating up the electronics panel and making it go crazy.

Even when the oven was closed it left still quite a gap, such that I could easily slide a pice of paper through the gap of the oven door and slide it along the closed door, without any resistance. I noticed that the outer part of the oven door was already reaching its stopper position before the gasket on the inner part of door could make the seal. Increased the separation between the inner and outer door shells (placed washers under the two screws at the top of door). Now the gasket fits tightly onto the oven, and shuts the oven properly, it seems.

Ran a lengthy test, and the electronics panel doesn't heat up, and, most importantly, the crashing of the electronics doesn't happen.

    Thanks for that hint!

Ge glass cooktop range won't bake or broil. error fault codes f7 and g6

see the cause and fix it for F7:

Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:

1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.

2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

Bake button doesn't work even after ignitor replaced

While unlikely, the ignitor in theory could have damaged the ERC (main oven control) it is more likely you have a bad keypad. Try pressing and holding bake and broil pads at the same time for 5 seconds and see if the display shows SF (will look like 5F). If it does, press the start button and try again bake again

GE wall oven display say F7, Bake and alarm sounds

Hi,

F7 error code occures due to
A = Function pad button stuck or
B = Bad clock Unstick button or
Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)

Replace the ERC there are ten screws 3 on each side and 4 on the control leave the hex screws alone all you need is a phillip screwdriver.
REMEMBER TO SHUT OFF THE POWER FIRST lift and fold out the control panel remove the ribbon cable and remove the four screws that hold the control board . replace control panel in reverse order.
Good Luck!!
Thanks
