For belkin routers, try using admin for user name then leave the password blank.

If that does not work, you may have changed the password of the router when you first set it up. However, if this is the first installation of the router, you can try resetting it so that it will go back to its default settings.

I forgot my password, where do I go for assistance so they can email me my password

Resetting the System Password
If you forget your password and still cannot remember it after seeing your hint, click the I still can't remember the password link.
The Reset System Password page opens.
To obtain access to your system:
1. In the System Key field enter the 10-digit system key located on the bottom of your gateway.
2. In the Enter New Password field, enter a new system password. In the Confirm New Password field, reenter the system password.
3. In the Enter Your Hint field, enter an appropriate hint as described under "Setting a System Password" .
4. Click Submit.
Setting a System Password
Setting a system password protects your gateway settings from being modified or changed by someone who has not been given permission to do so. After setting a system password, you will be required to enter it whenever you attempt to access a gateway configuration page - for example, if you try to change the gateway's broadband connection settings or upgrade the gateway software. If a password has not been set,
a reminder notice is displayed when you attempt to access pages where settings can be changed.
To set your system password:
• Open a Web browser and access the gateway user interface by entering
http://gateway.2wire.net.
• Click the System tab.
• Click the System Password link in the System area of the Network at a Glance panel to open the Edit
System Password page.
1. In the Settings panel, click the Enable checkbox.
2. In the Enter New Password field, enter your password.
3. In the Confirm New Password field, re-enter your password.
4. Optional: In the Enter Your Hint field, enter a hint.
A hint is a word, phrase, or question that reminds you what the password is. There is an I forgot the password link on the password entry page. When you click this link, it shows you your hint and allows you to enter your password.
5. Click SAVE.

Cant log on to the wireless motorola 192.168.0.1

If you got to the router's interface by typing 192.168.0.1 and it requested the userid and password. If the password you enter did not let you in, then the password is wrong. Maybe someone changed the default userid and password to something else.

You can always press the reset button on the router to set it back to Factory Settings. Then the default userid and password will work, but you will have to set the wireless back up and configure the basic settings (if you have a userid and password that the phone company uses as the network userid and password. This is not your email address userid and password).

Reset password

The default password for the router's Web Configuration Manager is password. NETGEAR recommends that you change this password to a more secure password.
To change the administrator password: 1. On the main menu, under Maintenance, select Set Password to display the Set Password screen. 2. To change the password, first enter the old password, then enter the new password twice. 3. Click Apply.
Best of luck!

I set-up a wireless router yesterday, and it told me it was unsuccessful. Today I tried again to set it up, and it's set-up, but I've gotten no password to access it. Can you help??

Open a browser and in the address type in 192.168.1.1
This should get you into the router settings. if it asks you for a username and password put those in.
If you didn't set a password for that, it should be the default password. You can find that on the bottom of your router on the sticker...it's kinda small but its there. Anyway, it's usually a blank username and the password is admin.
once you're in the router settings, find the wireless security tab and set up your password to acces the network. make sure you save settings once you've changed them.

If all else fails, Reset the router and start over.

And don't forget the password:)

Hope this helps

Belkin wireless g mimo router. i never set a

When changing the advanced settings on the Belkin router, you should change the default password.

To change the password, go to Administrator Password. Type in a new password. Make sure you remember the password, otherwise, you will need to reset the router back to default settings.

I hope this helps.
