There are 3 screws across the back of the cover and then there are 2 more screws located on the bottom side of the cover. You will need to fold the treadmill down to the ground, console should fold down on top of the walking surface. This will expose 2 holes close to the front roller bottom. These screws are phillips head and need to be removed as well. This will free your cover allowing you to remove it.

How can I fix a drop-in bobbin

  1. Cleaning and oiling the machine
    • 1 Unfasten the top, bottom, side and handwheel covers, using a screwdriver. Set the covers aside.
    • 2 Remove the plate that covers the thread bobbin. If it is screwed in place, use a screwdriver. If it is held by a clip or magnet, use a small flathead screwdriver to pry up the plate.
    • 3 Thoroughly clean inside all the openings, using a vacuum with crevice attachment. Remove any stubborn lint, and use tweezers to take out any thread that is wound around the parts.
    • 4 Clean the teeth on the gears, using the tip of a round toothpick to loosen the grime. Vacuum to remove it.
    • 5 Lubricate all the moving parts. Use white lithium grease on the gears, and sewing machine oil on the other parts.
    • 6 Reassemble the machine and plug it in.
Tightening or replacing the drive belt
    • 1 Remove the top cover, bottom cover and handwheel cover, using a screwdriver to take out the screws.
    • 2 Inspect the drive belt. If it is slack, use your screwdriver to loosen the screws that hold the motor in place, then follow step 4, below, to increase the belt's tension. If the belt is cracked or broken, get a replacement from your sewing machine supplier.
    • 3 Install the new belt. Loosen the motor-mounting screws, and shift the motor toward the handwheel so you can slip the belt over the parts.
    • 4 Shift the motor away from the handwheel to increase the belt's tension, then tighten the motor-mounting screws and check the tension. The belt should flex no more than 1/2 inch (12 mm). If it is too loose, increase the tension.
    • 5 Reinstall the covers and plug in the machine.

How to fix a timing belt

Replace the belts on cars that do not have interference motors. If your car does have this motor, consider other things that may have broken when the timing belt broke or stretched. Your car generally has an interference motor if it has more than two valves per cylinder or has double-overhead cams. On interference motors, the valves may be hitting the pistons and doing additional damage. You may have to replace the top end of the engine or the entire engine if you have internal damage. You can't tell whether you have bent a valve or if the motor has sustained other internal damage without replacing the timing belt.

To replace timing belts on most cars, unhook the positive battery cable and place it aside, away from the car. Remove all accessories, such as the alternator, air conditioning compressor, power steering pump and other accessories that may hinder your access to the timing belt cover.

Remove the belt cover, which may be in one piece or two. Jack up the car to get to the bottom bolts. Once the timing cover is off, check if the engine is set at top dead center (see Resources below).

Jack up the engine and remove the motor mount. Using the tensioner, loosen and remove the belt. Check whether the problem was in the tensioner. Replace the belt and the tensioner, if needed. When you replace the belt, be sure that the marks on the cam (or both cams, if you have a double-overhead cam) and the crankshaft marks are in place. Check that the tension on the belt is on the side opposite the tensioner.

Replace the motor mount. Once the belt is on, using a large ratchet and socket, turn the engine over at least twice to be sure the valves are not hitting the pistons. This step must be performed by hand. Do not use an air ratchet and do not turn the car over by "bumping" the engine with the starter.

Replace belt on Hotpoint Aquarius WM31 washing

Hi.
Remove top cover of washer.
Remove rear access panel.
Slacken off the motor fixing bolts, and pull motor towards drum top.
Fit belt round motor pulley first, and then feed it round the drum pulley from the rear of the washer.
Tighten motor bolts just enough to hold motor steady, and pull motor towardsa cabinet side to tension belt, it needs to be farly tight.
Then tighten motor bolts securely.
Fit back top and rear covers.

Washer does not agitate or spin after cycles but fills and empties water and motor is going

Belt is broken. Remove front cover of washer. If you look where top meets front in the seam there are two clips, using a flat head screwdriver push into seam and pop clip. Front will then remove. Check belt at bottom of unit. Replace with the same belt. Difficult to get new belt on! You have to start with belt on motor pulley then on drum pulley holding and turning drum pulley as you stretch belt around pulley. Replace front cover.

How to remove and replace a motor belt on proform

Hello there. To replace the drive belt (motor belt) follow this procedure.
1)Remove power to the machine
2)remove the hood cover (3 screws on the rear of the cover)
3) loosen the adjusting bolts for the walk belt located on the opposite end of the walk belt from the hood assembly. Loosen the adjusting bolts 10 full revolutions. This will loosen the walk belt.
4) You should then walk the drive belt off of the front roller/pulley assembly by pushing the belt to one side while turning the motor. If you are nable to do this you will need to loosen the 2 bolts holding the drive motor in place.
5) After removing the drive belt you can then slide the drive roller to the side out of the frame and it will slide out the other side of the bracket. This will allow the belt to be removed from the front roller and be replaced.
If you had to loosen the bolts holding the motor you will need to retension the drive belt by pulling the drive motor back while tightening the bolts. This will require another person to help tension while you tighten the bolts.
You can then retension the walk belt using the adjusting bolts and retightening them 10 revolutions.
Good Luck Tim

I need to replace the belt

You shouldn't have to remove the pump to replace the belt. The motor mount can be loosened and the motor moved so the belt will fit over all pulleys without removing the components.

Loosen motor, move it in, install belt, move motor out to correct belt tension, tighten motor mounts.
