Well to what i can say call manufacture
see if there was in the warranty a clause that states that the camera was indistructible from damage other than that i say take to camera shop and see if they can bring back crack up sounds like if you got receipt and warranty on new items is about a year to 2 years check and see if it can be covered this is replacement warranty

My husband gave this camera for xmas, but the screen is busted. How do i go about getting it fixed?

Sorry, but you don't. You either live with the fault or replace the camera. The C180 is a fine camera for the money, but it is so cheap that even the most minor repair is not cost effective. If it was a fault covered by the warranty (it won't be, unless "it just cracked") then Kodak wouldn't even bother to attempt a repair, they'd just throw the camera away and supply a replacement.

Replacing the screen will definitely cost more than buying another camera, given that the EasyShare C180 sells for around £60 (currently US$97).

BLACK SCREEN

Probably dead CCD or loose conection between CCD and main board. You can remove the back cover and check the CCD connection (on the left side big flex cable) or contact your local Kodak service center or me at toms.safranovs@gmail.com
I work in a Kodak service center.

Kodak EasyShare C743 Digital camra has cracked LCD

Hey iheartcheer,
If you intend on paying someone to replace your lcd screen the repair will most likely cost more than the value of the camera, but you could have an estimate done at an authorized service center.

Sincerely,
Allan

HELP ME REPLACE THE LENS ON MY KODAK!!!

i cant suggest that you attempt to fix it yourself, is it possible the lcd screen is damaged? take it to a local camera or electronics shop and price check repair costs, you could also check ebay for a do-it-yourself repair setup.

Lcd display is black

Forget fixing this camera unless your willing to pay big bucks, I have the same problem, checked it with a great camera repair man min. cost to repair is $175.00, this is a very big problem with the Kodak LS443, these camera's should have been recalled. Kodak is aware of this problem but will not stand behind there product. There is a chip that has gone bad problem is the chip is just a small part of the camera that has to be replaced, these camera's are not easily repairable. I loved this camera, but I will never buy another Kodak again. Don't send it to Kodak they will charge you more then a local camera shop.
