Question about Refrigerators

1 Answer

I have a Sub Zero 632 Dual Refrigeration System. The fridge side is not getting cold and the unit condensor fan runs continuously. The vacuum condensor light comes back on within 24 hours of cleaning the coil. Both circulation fans are working. There was a glob of ice on the pipe and sensor on the upper left corner of the fridge coil which I removed and after 24 hours the fridge got down to the mid 40's which is better than the low 50's it was running at previously. Suggestions?

This has a sealed system issue- you need a servicer to make the repair. There is nothing you can do yourself.

Subzero 680 - vacuum condensor message won't go away.

You can reset it by turning the unit on and off or if you have a door alarm button hold that for 30 seconds and that should clear the fault code.

The sub zeros I have worked on have a compressor for each side. Is your fan blowing. You may have a defrost timer or heater. Possible low on gas but thats not very likely the sub zeros are made very well. Check to see if fan is blowing. Check condensor coils on top to see if they are clean. Check to see if your condensor fan is blowing. These are just possoble problem you can check if every thing looks good. Call a service tech ask for free estimate on repairs. Rus

Subzero 561 Fridge side works, Freezer side working fine

Sounds like a cold control. It is located behind the panel and can be ohmed out to check for proper operation. You need to remove the light shield then after the shelves have been taken out remove the two screws that hold the fan shroud in place. This will allow back panel to come for so you can check the cold control. It should read as a short in all positions except off when the cap tubes have come to ambient temp. If you get the back off and see ice on only a small portion of the evaporator you have a sealed system problem and need a qualified technician.

Sub-Zero 532 not cooling

Simple think I guess - just pull down a little a plastic fan blade on motor shift it will produce a powerful air flow. Fan blade should sit pretty close to the shift end. ;)
