I need directions for replacing the radio/cd player in my Sport Trac. Any ideas?

Thanks so much for your help. I was wondering about the removal. I have the kit for the replacement radio, but wanted to know how to pull the old one.

U will need to find a radio installation shop or a store that sells car audio and buy the correct adapter radio installation wiring harness, about $10.00, u can also contact a company called Crutchfield.com and talk to the live chat line, they can also provide everything u need to get the job done. the Factory radio is held in by hidden spring clips, u will need to buy the tool kit that goes through the holes on each side of the radio face plate to release those spring retainers, here is a link to that kit.

2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac wires that I need to bypass to the aftermarket amp.

That usually causes a whole heap of troubles because the amp and radio are connected to the BCM and are part of the computer system. Things like turn signal clickers and door open chimes are actually part of the radio / amp system.

RADIO/CD INNOPERATIVE.

There is nothing in that deck u can repair or even get parts for, call the Ford dealer and get the phone number of the factory authorized radio repair center near u, send the unit out yourself, don't go through the dealer they will take the bill from the repair center and double it.
