Hello - how do I unlock DVD/Video player V271 so that I can play any-region DVD -thanx - Susan

Susan - I have no direct experience with this hack but I'm told it works:

Turn on the player and open the tray. Press 0000 on the remote to access the DVD region code selection menu. Change the EEPRom code to 0 to remove the region lock.

You most likely now have a region free player.

Good Luck,

My Go.Video dvd player isn't working.

On some units there is a slot or hole in the bottom of the unit, under the dvd side, that lets you open the tray by turning or sliding a gear or lever. Do not turn the unit upside down or the disc will fall out of the tray and into the unit. If there is no hole, take the cover off and there may be a pulley with a belt or a gear that can be turned to release the disc. There are 3-4 screws that hold the dvd mechanism in place, if all else fails, remove them and lift the mechanism out, be careful not to damage any cables. Some times the tray face will not fit through the face plate so the face will have to come off with the dvd mechanism, the face usually just snaps on.

Go Video DVD will not eject

this suggestion made on this forum worked great for me.
I don't care if it does sound silly.. smack the unit smartly over the eject tray when you press the eject button.

DVD loading mechanism doesn't load completely that's why opens after attempt of loading.
You need to open top cover of unit and inspect loading belt might be lose, tray timing can be out of phase, some wire got stuck with tray while loading etc.

DVD tray will not open.

Hello,

The disc is dislodged and jamming the drawer. You have to remove the cover, about three, maybe four screws, and then take the disc out to resolve the problem.
