Question about Pioneer DVH-P5000MP - Car Audio DVD/CD/MP3 Player / Dual Zone Capabilities

Open Question

I have a pioneer dvh-5000 dvd head unit. I also have a pioneer ipod bus and 2 pioneer rear monitors and one kenwood front monitor. All video components play normally. Today I tried to run my rear speaker off of one of two amps which I have in my car, but like a dummy, I think I pushe subwoofer sound through a rear speaker so I think I caused a feedback or something because none of my car speakers play any sound anymore. My subwoofer still works and my amps and capacitors still function normally from what I can see. The only issue is that speakers are not getting any sound. I have tried to disconnect the speaker I was trying to run off the amp but still nothing. I checked all the standard car fuses and none were blown. I checked as many wiring fuses as I could see, but I have so many wires from all the a/v equipment it's hart to tell. Is there a fuse I am missing or is my head unit sound output just fried?

Look carefully in the front panel for the source button- input. after connecting the RCA jacks input at the rear with a source, select this , do not put in the cd when you are trying out as it might go to the default setting of detecting the cd.
Hope you get this right.Good day

Subject: Trouble shoot Samsung Synmaster 151 MP LCD monitor Hello, I have a NTSC compatible DVD player, (pioneer DVH-P7000) linked, pictured communication via S-video to the sumsung LCD, also NTSC. It is...

S-Video connectors have separate luminance (B&W) and chrominance signals.

Your symptoms are those of a bad connection on either pin 2 or 4, those responsible for chrominance signals. Check the connections and the cable. Try gently wiggling the connectors when the image is displaying. A flash of color imagery indicates that it is indeed a bad contact, hopefully in the cable (which can be replaced cheaply).

Dvd screens in headrests are not getting power

The problem seems to be that the video out from the kenwood head unit is either faulty or the leads from the head unit to the monitors are faulty. Have you checked to see that the head unit when playing a DVD is set on ZONE 2 so that it transfers the video signal to the headrest monitors?

Connection to IPOD

There are many ways to do so. Each of which is progressively more expensive.
All of these plug into the Ip bus plug in the rear of the unit.
Most of these can be found on Ebay or Amazon
1: An IP bus to RCA plug then you need a RCA to 3.5mm plug wire. (note this is a lower quality) $10-$30

2: An ip bus to Ipod connect plug. (Better sound quality, charges Ipod, does not allow Ipod control from the Head unit, only from the Ipod) around $15-$30

3: An ip bus to Ipod Connectivity unit (same quality as #2 but allows for Ipod control from Head unit)
$100+

Most of these can be found on Ebay or Amazon

Ipod will not play video to my head unit AVH P5900DVD

ok for the first post with the ipod not showing video .. make sure that you have the correct cable running from behind the deck to the ipod .. (iPod Direct Control (CD-I200 Required) once you have that connected you need to go to the video settings of your ipod and turn on the video out .. by default its offf... also remember with movies on your ipod .. that has to be manually selected from the ipod itself .. you cant control the videos from the pioneer unit.. only the audio/music on your ipod can be selected from the pioneer unit..
