I set up the three phones that make up the Model 28112 Series. Everything was working fine. Now, one of the phones will not work. The message on the screen is Searching...... or it says Out of Range. I have switched the hand sets and the other hand sets work fine. I have unplugged the unit and pretended to reinstall the system. I have referred to the user's Guide. Please help.

Just one of the handsets will not work. I have plugged it in in the same room and the handset reads OUT OF RANGE or SEARCHING....

Even when the handset is on the main cradle it will not work.

The problem of searching.....

After trying all the technician's suggestions had failed; I disconnected the base to return it to the store for replacement. Then I decided to try disconnecting and reconnecting power and phone line, placed handset back on base and the phone reset itself and is working fine...

Recap:

Disconnect power and phone line from base for about 30 seconds and reconnect both power and phone line to base and place handset back on base; it should reset...
