Check with another monitor if the problem persits then open you casing and resit the ram,if still the problem is there then your motherboard video adapter is the culprit, send the motherboard for repair

How do I fix the error no vga input signal no dvi input signal monitor going to sleep

Check if you VGA is properly settled in the PCI slot. Try to take it out, clean the slot for dust.
If that doesn't help, it is well possible that you VGA is not working any more.

My hp pavilion slimline s3020n pc is on but cannot view on the screen it says on the monitor VGA: no input signal

Check the video cable connectors, remove the video connectors and reconnect them again.
Check the monitor input settings make sure the input is set to VGA and not to DVI.
Try a different monitor.

When I turn my computer on, my monitor displays a message of 'vga signal, no vga input signal' and 'dvi signal, no dvi input signal' and 'monitor going to sleep'. My cables are...

The symptoms you described is common in fault mobo or VGA card. But VGA doesn,t turn bad so easy.I suggest to change your mobo first.

I have a dell dimension 3000, bought a new HP 2310E monitor with 3 ports. DVI, HDMI & display port. Told to buy a cable with VGA to connect to dell and DVI to connect to HP Monitor display port....

Hi sshorne9780,

I see that you are having a check input error on the Monitor/LCD that your are connecting to your Dell tower, please see steps below.

  • On your HP 2310E make sure that your HP is set to the input/source that you are using and make sure that you only use one type of video cable for the issue.
  • I see that you mentioned that you have a VGA cable and a DVI cable, you can only use one type of cable for a video connection.
  • VGA would be the Blue tipped cable connecting to the tower and going to the LCD monitor.
  • DVI this is a black cable connecting to a white port much bigger than a VGA port and is rectangular in shape unlike the VGA
  • moz-screenshot.pngmvincentc_34.jpg
  • and on your LCD monitor check the input type to see video from the tower.
  • everything seems to be OK you just need to change the input of your LCD monitor for the video to show up on the screen.
  • also if you are using HDMI for the video u will need to change the setting of your Audio and set HDMI as the Default to have Audio come out from the HDMI connection together with video, the HDMI viedo will automatically be detected as long as the LCD monitor's input is set to HDMI.
I hope that this will able to help resolve your concern.

Thank you for choosing Fixya,

Green light comes on and the fan but monitor will not

Hello.

Could be the monitor or your Presario's VGA card. Swap the monitor with another system to see where the problem lies. If another monitor works on your system , it's your monitor. If another monitor doesn't work, then the problem is the VGA card.

Hope this helps.

DVI no input signal......VGA input active.

Are you running an additional Video card? Or are you using the built in one.
You might try cleaning the connector / plugs with acetone from finger polish remover or de=natured alcohol.
Never jam anything on a computer.
If its an add on card, remove it and reboot. Shut down and reinstall card and reboot.
keep me posted please,

Monitor malfunction, says VGA Input: No Signal and goes to sleep

If it was your video card, you would have no picture at all. Try to boot in safe mode and do into your options and make sure your hibernation is not on. Only other thing I can think of, it could be *********** board.

What are the best colour settings for the Compaq W220q monitor?

Hi,

If your questions is about the color settings supported by the Compaq W220q monitor, then I can say that depends on the video card installed in your notebook.

If your questions is regarding the pixel sizes and display resolution supported by your screen, then it is:

1680 x 1050 @ 60

You can find the specifications of your screen from the below URL:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01434827&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

You can find more information in it.

Hope it helps you
