It sounds like your power supply is the issue. It could be a capacitor, a rely, or the high voltage transistor.

Was working fine last night ,went to turn it on and you can hear a buzzing by where you plug in your jacks a bee,or high pitch sound.tv has no picture or sound.only sound you hear is this buzzing

Sounds like your power supply is causing the problem. Unplug the TV wait 10 minutes, look in the back for a red button (circuit breaker) push it in. If this does not work you have a low voltage power supply fault.

Samsung hlp6163w dlp there is a buzzing sometimes after the tv is on. When you shut the tv off the picture goes out but the buzzing continues for a few seconds more then shuts off ?

Fault with its main board itself. After a duration of proper working, the horizontal oscillation shuts off, while the main power supply voltage is there, for some time, [that is why you hear the buzzing sound; generated at its SMPS transformer]. A loose solder terminal at tthe main board can cause this. Even though, there might be some other reason too. The troubleshoot to this kind of fault is, somewhat skilled one. It will take some time to reach the exact fault point; even for an experienced service technician. It will be best to seek assistance from any experienced service technician. Electro help

FMV152KWA microwave buzzes when not running

Missy Uhland Bauman,

I understand that you are hearing a buzzing noise from your microwave, even though the door is shut and and it is not running. I would suggest to give the appliance a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. After the 3-5 minutes, bring power back. If you are still hearing a buzzing sound, I suggest either contacting the manufacturer or your local authorized technician.

-Best Regards-

Try another input and another source such as a DVD player. If you still get the buzzing sound, you could have a faulty power supply output or a fault in the audio circuit of the main board.

i was a tv engineer for many years quite a while back now and when a led is flasing or pulsing it usualy means the tv's power supply is in over current mode wherebye it shuts down to prevent any further damage due to a part of the circuitry drawing excess current, high voltage transformer etc, you need to get a techie in, sorry.

A buzzing noise coming from inside the tv but still buzzes when on mute but doesnt buzz when tv guide is up on the screen or when a channel is showing what time it starts

plasma tvs buzz a lot, depending on screen brightness. its probably normal but if you can hear loudly over your volume, may be a bad board or plasma panel. from behind tv, left side = y board, right side = z board, middle = power board ---- bad panel can buzz from anywhere... if you hear all parts buzzing, its probably normal plasma noise

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs it could be time to replace the lamp. The lamp you need is xl-2100 you can find it here: http://www.discount-merchant.com/Sony-XL-2100U-TV-Lamp-p/sony_xl-2100u_replacement_lamp.htm?Click-48173.Have a blessed one!

NO PICTURE OR SOUND

The buzz is the power supply attempting to power the set. The click is the unit shutting down. Can you pleae post the make and model as well as whether or not the standby light is blinking? With that info we should be able to give you some options.

Thanks,
Dan

Rca 27410tyx1 will not shut off

Sounds like trouble in the standby/power up circuit. have you tried unplugging the TV for a half hour and seeing what happens? It might start up but I think this problem won't go away. If you heard a high pitched buzzing it sounds like a problem in the high voltage not letting the start up circuit work. threy are related. The start up circuit waits for the high voltage to stablize and then switches it on.

Plazma TV buzzing noise

I have the same problem I can hear buzzing over the volume of the tv into the 30 range. I've had a tech out 3 times and he's coming out for a fourth. He's changed to power supplies and is bringing the 3rd next visit. From what I've read it has either to do with power supplies or grounding strips.
