I have a whirpool LSR7233DQO model top loader washing machine, a month ago it stopped agitating, now it will not spin at all on the spin cycle. It actually sounds like there is movement in the bade of the...

Sometimes the switch goes out (that little thing you held your finger on to keep it running). That's ~$20 to fix. If the washer runs, fills with water and won't spin once it reaches the spin cycle you probably need a new motor.

No spin cycle

This is usually caused by the pressure switch. Here is a link with the other possible problems. To check the pressure switch follow the link to the video. http://appliancehelponline.com/topwashernospin.html

Manual claims machine has ability to spin out water but there are no options on the control panel

There are different models withing this line by GE. There is one model that have a "Drain & Spin" cycle on the main cycle selection knob, but on the higher end models, you'll need to use the "Rinse & Spin" cycle.

This will add some water to the washer, but the basic cycle will give items a quick rinse and spin.

If you're trying to use just a spin cycle to wring out towels, etc. and you don't have the "Drain & Spin" cycle, (which you shouldn't based on your higher end model #), just use the "Rinse & Spin" cycle and it'll do a nice job of getting out a lot of moisture from your clothes, towels, etc.

I have this same washer in my own home and refreshed my memory by reading my manual (again) to see that this is what you need to do, to spin out stuff.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Top-loading, direct drive Kenmore model won't do spin cycle

In other words it pumps out but when it goes into spin nothing happens. The first thing to check is to remove the tranny(get the agitator out) take the 3 bolts loose and slide out the tranny(no need to get the tub out) Take a look see at the plastic brake release collar mounted on the bottom of the basket drive. The ear will break off and thus no spin.3ef16e8.jpg If that looks ok let me know...
