Question about Televison & Video
Repeat the process of reseting the TV. Depress the menu and power on., If the message advances remove the battery of the remote and try.
Now switch off and try to start in standby , if the remote is still not detecting.Switch off power to set for some hours, remove batterry from remote , set them in after some hours or even over night.
Hope the reset works but if the B&W picture is still present, then the D/A( digital to Analogue) convertor is faulty.
Try to tighten connectors and see if the fault goes off.
if not you might have a fault in the digital board.
