Our compressor burnt-out with a smoke and electric isolation burn smell. A disassemble has shown that the relay was gone with one of the cables burnt out. I would like to check if the motor is fine, how can i do that?

You have a very good chance that the compressor will still work. If the clixon and starter are loose in any way on the terminals or if the wire connections are'nt connecting tightly, that will result in the wiring and components burning out. Contact a refrigeration supplies store and quote the model of the compressor asking them for a clixon and relay for that model compressor.Put it on in the same way you took off the faulty one. May even be worthwhile if you are stuck, to ask a refrig. guy to help you connect components up. Always switch off when working on electrics. (Would also be a good descision if you changed the capacitor as well.

2004 chevrolet classic 2.2l won't start, maybe have a short circuit on positive wire, circuit, because make nothing no radio no lights inside and outside I check battery is ok fuses is ok, looks st

If you have positive battery cable that is shorted, fix it. A dead short to ground should smoke it or get very hot. Check ground, also.
Use a test lite, ignition bat fuse 1 and 2, underhood fuse block, Should be hot all the time. Voltage and ground, both, are important.

Whirlpool SXS.....1. compressor cooling fan quit so fridge and freezer stopped working. 2. replaced cooling fan and fridge and freezer working again. 3. Now the fridge and freezer works but runs nonst

Check to see if the sensor in the freezer compartment is encased in ice. If so, do a complete defrost and restart the unit. Another possibility is a bad thermostat and/or sensor.

Something attached to copressor burned out

Start relay and overload. Depending on how the triangle goes on the compressor depends and which way they go back on.

My amana bottom freezer model #abb1921dew smelled like smoke and the compressor was not running. I unplugged it over night and when plugged in again it appears to be running fine. Any suggestions?

I would suggest replaceing the overload/relay w/capacitor .
Pt # 67005560 . This piece , easily plugs onto the side of the compressor . If you replace it now , since it is already burnt , it would save you the trouble of replacing it later , when the compressor will not restart . It will happen again , due to the burning .

Smelt burning smell in the morning stopped cooling

I suspect the start relay burnt on the compressor. Now the compressor can not turn on. You need to repalce the relay.

Fridge freezer smells of burning after milk leaked in fridge smoke came out and tripped switch whats the matter with it

I believe the milk leaking and the burning smell are isolated incidents. It would appear that your compressor is running without a full charge. I would suggest not using this unit until you can get someone in to check it.

Clicking & Electrical Smell

sounds like the relay on the compressor. Although this can just blow and is common you may find that the compressor windings have gone short circuit, ( in which case the compressor is u/s and will need replacing). The relay can usually be found under the cap where the cables attach to the compressor. some are push fit ( over 3 pins on the compressor normally) and some just look like a bottle cap with 3 wires coming off (which attach to the 3 pins on the compressor). A meter may show the short but there is very little resistance on the windings in the first place. There are lots of generic relays that will fit. Make sure you note what wires comes of where before getting a replacement, most euronic stores will carry them as do companies like SEME in the uk
