Hi, I have a used Sempron 3300+ cpu out of a eMachine with a bad M.B. I would like to know if this CPU is compatiable with a(Gigabyte), GA-M68MT-D3(rev.2.3) M.B.

Hi.

We are not going to be able to tell you if the CPU is compatible with the Gigabyte motherboard without knowing the make and model of the motherboard that the CPU originally came out of. If you could provide us with that information we will be able to tell you the socket type and whether or not the CPU is compatible with the Gigabyte motherboard.

I need to know what is this number of the amd processors like this HDX925WFGMBOX. if my motherboard dont say that number of that proccesor is saying that it doesn't support it?

Not neccessarily. The HDX####### number is the serial number of the processor. But as long as the cpu-socket types are the same on the cpu and motherboard, it should be compatible for the most part. Some cpu/motherboard combos require a BIOS update on the motherboard but thats probably not the issue here. AMD Phenom II's like yours are usually socket AM3, so just make sure that your motherboard is also a socket AM3 and you should be okay.

Visit your motherboard vendors website and look up the model number of your board. It should tell you what socket compatibility it has. Or you could even go to newegg.com and look up both the cpu and the motherboard to see if they match up.

I am wanting to upgrade the cpu to a faster

You dont need to know your southbridge info or anything like that, you just need to know the socket type for the processor. If they make a processor for the socket type, then you can assume it is compatible.

Cpu to support sse2

Highest model cpu your board can support is the AMD Athlon XP model 3200. This is not a dual core cpu. You would need to upgrade to a newer motherboard in order to use a dual or quad core cpu. Hope this helps.

Motherboard compatibility

Which P4 3.0Ghz CPU do you have?

is it socket 478 or LGA-775?

Best thing to do is figure out what brand of motherboard you would prefer and then go to their website and look at their CPU compatibility chart for your CPU to find out which models support it

I personally would recommend ASUS motherboard and you can check out their compatibility chart here: http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Or if you prefer a different brand of motherboard you can find links to allmost every brand here: http://www.motherboard.cz/cpusupport/

Hope this info helps

New cpu for my motherboard

Hopefully it is compatible.

Here is how you can check. First look up the brand and model of the motherboard. Motherboards are usually labeled with that info.

Next go to the motherboard's manufacturer's website. Search Google using the brand name of the motherboard you should get a website in the results.

Then go to the products information of the website, or the downloads section and look up the model number of the motherboard you have.

You should be able to get specs on what CPU the motherboard supports. Or download a manual with specs.

Comment if you need more help.

How do I know if my motherboard is compatible with my processors voltage? where do i see the voltage indication of the motherboard?

Your board supports P4 CPU with 400Mhz bus speed. You can use any P4 CPU with 400MHz such as 2.4GHz/512/400. I think you can go as high as 2.8GHz.

Good Luck!
