My Acer Aspire 9805WKHi wont turn on past the main acer start-up screen after my battery died. I didn't realize it wasn't plugged into the ac adapter so it was running only on battery.

1. Unplug AC adapter. Shutdown

2. Remove battery, Connect AC Adapter

3. Start windows7. Remove Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager , battery

4. Shutdown, Remove AC Adapter, Install battery, Reattach AC Adapter.

5. Power up -

Now Plugged in and Charging.

1. Remove the battery and the ac adapter from the laptop computer. Press the power button for about 10 seconds. This will discharge thee flea power from the laptop.
2. Connect the battery and the ac adapter. Charge the computer for about 30 mins then try to turn the computer on.
If this does not work, try to turn the computer on with only the AC adapter connected. If this works then it time to replace the battery.

Does the laptop come on when you plug in the mains and take out the battery? If it doesn't then it could be a faulty power switch.

You might have a bad AC adapter, bad Battery or bad motherboard.

I would start with adapter first. If you see that you have to go to Number 2 or 3. You might to just get a whole Laptop, if this one is not still under warrenty.

It could be an AC adaptor issue.

It should boot when connected directly to the power outlet through the laptop adaptor. If it is not boot, then the adaptor might not be supplying the needed power to boot it up.

If it is possible, try to isolate the issue. Charge your new battery using another laptop. Then plug it in your laptop to see if it works. If it will work, then it is the AC adaptor of your laptop that is defective. If the charged battery still won't make the laptop boot, then there is something wrong with your laptop hardware. If could be a motherboard issue of your laptop.

First of all you have to determine whether it's the battery, charger or the laptop itself.
Remove the battery and boot the laptop on AC power only, if the laptop boots up you can rule out the charger and the laptop, you may need a new battery if that is the case.

TRY TO REFORMAT YOU LAPTOP.. THEN OBSERVE IT IF THE SAME PROBLEM. CHANGE YOU RAM OR HDD MAYBE SOME BAD SECTOR THAT WHY CAN'T CONTENIU THE OPERATIONS

Try removing the battery and connecting the AC adapter then see if it boots up.
Reinstall the battery and keep the AC adapter connected and see if it boots up, if so leave it charge the battery for several hours.
If none of these work, get a replacement as there is a more segnificant problem.
