I used my sharp R-1821 convection microwave that night it did not work. outlet is lit up but display does not come on. Why?

More than likely it will be one of the three door switches. Also check the internal fuse in the unit. The fuse if blown is just a symptom, not the problem. It doesn't always blow out but the right combination of switches bad will take it out.

Can't see digital indicators in day light to dim

Your back-lit display light is either burnt out or the fuse is blown. It may be a more serious problem that needs expert attention. i.e. a mechanic
There could be a circuit board that controls the back light that has gone bad like I had with an LCD monitor once.

2002 Yamaha R1 headlights not working and turn signals. Bike starts no problem. Dash displays turns signals icon lit and high beam icon on but lights. I checked all fuses on the left had side no fuses...

my friend you have a short in your wiring harness. The best way to do a mini check is take your fairings off and start jiggling wires. Usually, if there is a short the lights and/or blinkers will blink.....otherwise your bulbs could be blown. If the harness is shorted go to your dealer or someone capable of fixing the problem( you probably can do it) hope this helps you...good luck!!

Digital odometer below the speedo has stopped being lit up.now i can hardly see it. i checked the fuses and cant see any blown??loose earth wire maybe?

Hi hairymcchevy,

Yes, it could be a loose wire, but more likely, if no fuses are blown and the rest of the dash panel is lit, it is a bulb inside the dashboard/odometer. Most of the digital dashes I have seen are lit through the clear plastic housing behind the matte finished masks. This is not exactly an easy fix, but it can be done.

you need to take the dash top off, remove the instrument panel, and check the bulbs in or behind it, to see if any of them are blown. It may save you a lot of work chasing down a loose/shorting wire.

Yes there is a fuse located in the fuse box ...This sounds like it is definetely the problem ...If no fuse is blown have the a/c relay checked...

Oven Problem

Check power going to the electronic module in back of the display. If power there you have a blown module. If no power check for a blown thermal fuze.
