Go here
scroll down, click Download drivers and download as in Save, not Run, all of the installers to a USB stick. Plug that stick in your motherboard and launch all of them one by one.

How to format

To format a hard drive or array, select it from
the Target Disk drop box. Choose the file
system desired from the File System dropbox
(internal drives can only be formatted with XFS).
Note that FAT32 has a 4 gigabyte filesize limit
for individual files. If you choose FAT32 for your
file system, you will not be able to store single
files larger than 4 gigabytes on the drive. Use of
the XFS or EXT3 file systems is recommended.
Press Select Target Disk when done, and then
Start format.
Depending on the size of the target hard disk or
array, a disk format may take several hours to
complete. Shares on the LinkStation will not be
accessible during the disk format.
Note: Reformatting a drive will erase all data
on it! Back up any data on the drive before
reformatting it.

How do i reformat, i have also forgotten the admin password. i use it for backing up my mbp

To format a hard drive go into my computer right click the drive and hit format. Select NTFS for the file system and hit format. This will erase all the data on your drive so make sure anything you need is backed up. No password should be needed to format the hard drive.

The drive or network connection is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or the network resource is available

right click my computer and select manage ... select disk management and if the drive shows up there it may need to be formatted and assigned a drive letter before being able to use it .

right click on drive 1 or 2 whichever is required and assign a drive letter and format to FAT 32 or NTFS

reboot and the new drive will be accessable in My computer

Hard Drive Prevents any other windows device from loading

Hi, Mark Here.
Yes the setup on the xp install puts drivers into memory, but being an older version of windows B4 sta was out it does not have drivers to support it.

You could go to Microsoft & search for a new version of setup install drivers that includes sta, & download to thumb.
Really typical Windows Failure (driver not available freeze up or blue screen).

Freecom network drive corrupted

Sounds like it needs re-formating.

You might try>

Look through there to see if they have a utility that can sort the problem out....
Or a FAQ section where there might be a bit of help with the problem...

These drives need to be in open air or they can overheat and stop working.

Right click on the F:\ ,click format.

Look to see if the details of the drive are in the window.

Capacity ? 150gb ? or something close.
File system NFTS ?

If these details are there you can format the disk again.
