Hello Aslu

This problem might be simpler than you think, check your windows clock settings includeing your time zone, if its set incorrectly it will change the time every time it syncs the clock with time servers.

My PC not showing proper Date & Time - 0d4cc97.jpg
If that doesn't solve the problem you might need to replace the 3 volt battery on your motherboard, also the bios might be out of sync, reseting the bios with the bios jumper (after changeing the batter) might solve the problem, you would ofcourse need to set your time in bios and all other custom settings again.

But In any case, its highly unlikely to be a fault in the motherboard.

If this solution was any help at all please rate it as helpfull or fixya.
And if you need anything else let me know, you can ask me 24/7 by clicking

Thanks and good luck!

How to change time and date on my pc

are running a Windows computer you should place the mouse pointer over the date/time, usually at the bottom right corner of your screen. Right mouse click on the date/time and scroll down to "adjust date/time" and left mouse click on that. A window will appear allowing you to reset the date/time. You can also change the time zone to your particular time zone. Some O/S will allow you to select internet time, which automatically keeps the correct time.

How to verify that the CMOS battery needs to replace

The CMOS battery is named after the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor power. The CMOS has the current date and time functions for desktop and laptop computers. It allows the computer to automatically adjust the time, even on computers that are disconnected for long time. When a computer no longer has the date and time and forget it on every boot, the CMOS battery probably needs replacing. Some computers have messages when the battery is weak, while others just lose the current date and time after each shutdown.

Time & Date Errors

1. Turn on the computer. Look in the task bar at the bottom right. Make sure the date and time is set correctly. Double-click the time and click the up or down arrow to switch to the correct time. Click on the arrow next to month to change the month. Click "OK" when finished.

2. Turn off the computer. Wait 3 to 5 minutes and start the machine.

3. try accessing your bios on your laptop and change the date on it. To access the bios just press F2 or F10 once you press the power button. Once you are inside of the bios locate the settings for date and time, then that's the time you can change and save it before you exit.
Hope it helps thanks.

My dell inspiron 1525 was updating and when it got to the 3 of 3 update it wouldn't go past 0% and then it will restart itself and do it over again

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->System Restore

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next
Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

After reboot your problem should be resolved.
