IVE HELD TV BUTTON FOR 5 SEC BUT DOESNT BLINK WHEN I LET GOundefined

On the remote? If in your mind you are turning the TV on the way you have a million times B4 and it isn't working this time then one would think " what has changed?" Well I was vacuuming behind the TV or the cat was back there or the kids were close to the outlet so i... At any rate go for the obvious first if the remote doesn't work try the TV directly. If the Front switch doesn't work then a lot of the bigger plasma's have a second power switch behind somewhere. Going for broke here... worst case scenario perfectly good TV will not turn on And all switches and cords verified good/"on" and plugged in Iv'e seen many times folks tried it all except the out was bad or so much junk in front of the out let you couldn't see it/test it if you wanted to. or have it plugged into a unit that only when IT is turned on does it supply juice to TV. OK devil's advocate..... everything you know about plugging stuff in and looking for indicators is OK in your eyes... and you've bypassed the pesky remote that cuts through cheap batteries like crazy.....Power switches these days don't go bad very often. And they're rarely a mechanical 'hard switch' anymore. A lot of times at the minimum a light will light or a set of capps start to charge with a distinctive snapping noise. Any lights? Any noise at all? what kind of TV is it? CRT? Flatscreen? Troubleshoot a bit and the odds are with you if it's a newer FS that its cheap and easy (and embarrassing) let us know what you find my friend ~~~~SC

** TV won't turn on.** No picture or sound. Please Help !

If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First, try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there. You are simply switching. If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.

My remote will not cut on my Bose Cinemate system. I have changed the batteries in my remote and the red light on the receiver is illuminated, so I know the system is operational, . I've also unplugged...

It seems to be a common misconception that the remote is necessary to turn a device on. All devices have hard-wired power controls. Does THAT work? It is unclear which device (remote or the Cinemate) is malfunctioning. If the Cinemate won't turn on by its own power switch the remote won't magically bypass whatever the problem is.

The Cinemate Manual offers some steps to take if it won't turn on, as well as other guidance.

Hi.

Take out the AC power jack and then remove the laptop battery. Plug AC power back in and see if the laptop will turn on. If it turns on let it boot the operating system and then shut down as normal, remove the power cord and reinsert the battery and again see if it will switch on. If it does then there has been a glitch with the battery. If it doesn't then there is a problem with the battery.

If the laptop won't switch on either with or without the battery then there is a possibility that the motherboard has developed a problem.

Good luck.

The tv wont power on at all

Hello,

Your TV Won't Turn On
If your TV won't turn on, you should check the power cord. Make sure that it is securely in the wall plug. Sometimes the power cord has burned out and needs to be replaced. You may also want to check the batteries in the remote to make sure that they are working properly. If otherwise
Common problem with this TV is the power supply module.
Check the power supply; look for bad caps with leaking/bulging tops, check to see if you have standby +5vdc at the power supply connector, the front red indicator will not be on if you do not have this +5vdc standby voltage due to shorted out power transistor and zener diode, if otherwise, Power supply board just die.It can be dead at anytime.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help to solve the problem.....

Hello, make sure power cord is pushed in all the way in to the tv. Also make sure you have power at your outlet. I know it sounds dumb, but I've seen people chase their tail for hours before coming to the conclusion that a circuit breaker was tripped. Make sure you have good batteries in the remote. If the TV has a power button on the tv, try turning it on there instead of the remote. You can check to see if there is an on/off switch in the back. Besides this it should be pretty straight forward. You might have a defective tv
Hope this helps
Thank you in advance for your feedback
