SOURCE: My Rheem central A/C blower motor cycles on & off

Depending on age of Rheem they have a time delay relay. May be causing the problem. The time delay operates the fan. Try turning fan to continuous and see if it stays on.

SOURCE: I have a Rheem RT-36-ACU-N that acts like it needs

Yes, but why more cfm? you need the proper cfm to match the tonage higher cfm wont accommodate your present blower wheel .have a load calculation done. A reputable contractors will do it for free as long as ya buy from them you will be happier with a prorerly sized unit. Good Luck Tom

SOURCE: Looking for a parts list for Rheem RSNA package

Hi, here is what you need to do. Forget Rheem dealer. Draw a schematic on how the old blower motor is connected to your unit. The motor doesn't have to be by Rheem, or Ruud. A, g.e. motor, and several other motors will work just fine as long as the shaft size is the same1/2"x6" which can be cut if to long. They can match it up with the correct R.L.A., voltage which is 208/230 volts, R.P.M., and rotation which most are reversible by interchanging 2 wires on the motor. Be sure you pick up a new run capacitor that you will need with the new motor. Your 2 brown wires, one with a white strip will go to it. Go to a appliance parts house to get a motor. That will be your best bet. If you have a Grangers near by, they will sell to anyone and they have just about any motor you will need. Non contractors use this place all the time, no questions asked! Please keep me posted on this. Leave a comment in the box for me. Please don't forget to rate me please, I know you will be kind.
Sincerely,

I have Rheem Pvw50, 50 gallon water heater installed at home. For the past few days, there is a noise coming out of blower motor. What could be the reason?

Your water heat is at an age that I would recommend replacing the whole unit. That one cannot be too efficient and most likely has sediment built up on the bottom of it pretty bad.

How do i prime the water trap on a rheem classic 90

This trap will fill itself up when the furnace runs for the first time. It does not need to be primed to make it work. If you have the drain end above another p trapped drain.

Have you checked the capacitor? Try spinning the blower wheel by hand, if this gets the motor going you have a bad capacitor. If not, the motor will need to be replaced.

20 year old Rheem 90 plus 120k btu furnace blower runs contantly. Furnace and AC work fine (start and stop according to thermostat setting). What is problem? How fix?

Check to see if your unit has a heat sequencer. This is usually the problem with most furnaces. If it is bad, it will make the fan blower run all of the time. If you are not a electrican, you may want to get a electricin to look at it.

Have a rheem 90 plus gas furnace the problem is that when you call for cooling the indoor blower does not come on. On the control board there are 2 green lights and one orange light. The top green ligt is...

At your thermostat turn the fan from auto to on, if the blower motor still does not come on, down at the furnace remove the blower door, turn power off first. Locate the blower motor leads, switch the cool lead which is usually black with the blue wire which is usually medium high.
Make sure while you are at it to see if the blower motor will turn by hand. Put door back on turn on power, leave the fan switch to `on` still. Blower should turn on. If not then either the blower motor is either burned out or you have a line/lolw voltage wiring problem.
You did not state if the outdoor ubit was operating, that will make it easier to troubleshoot.

Trunthe fan from the automatic position to the on position, if the blower does not come on then you
might have a relay problem. The relay is built into the
board, you may have to replace the board.

George, make sure the belt is not loose flapping around making all that noise.

Not hard to change if you can get one from an hvac friend, they won"t sell to homeowners normally.
