Question about Uniden Lands Phones

Open Question

I have a uniden DECT 4096 with about 8 extention phones. After working well for about a month, Line 1 on the phone went bad. Line 2 still works fine. I hear a diminished dial tone and cannot dial out. Calls coming in ring but can't make the connection when answered. I switched phone line wires and the problem is still the same.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Registering Handsets to the Base
Whichever handset you choose to charge in the base is automatically
registered to the base. Any additional handsets must also be registered to
the base before you can use them.
Be sure both handsets are fully charged.
One at a time, place each handset in the base. The charge/in use LED on
the base begins to flash, indicating the base is registering the handset.
Wait for at least five seconds, then pick up the handset and press
[talk/flash]. If the display shows TALK, the handset is registered. If not,
place the handset in the base to try again.
Press [end] and continue with the next handset.
Note:
Once both handsets are registered, it doesn’t matter which
handset is placed in the base or the charger.
When you charge the handsets, Caller
ID summary screen and the name of
the handset appears.

This can be find from uniden website.

SOURCE: No dial tone

It seems you can receive the calls and dial the numbers, by clicking hand free key you will hear the tone. Regarding answering machine I wonder you activate it or not for activating the machine just click the On/Off key on the base or from the main menu on the hand set choose Voice Mail section then activate Answering Machine, in this section you have other options such as Ring Delay (for choosing the delay before Ans.Mach. pick up the phone), Announcements (playing and recording announcements) and Massage Length. SOURCE: Disconnects incoming calls after one ring

The problem may be a short on your line. (Have the local Teleco check your line.) If you have other phones, you may want to check them for dial tone(DT) when this happens. If you have no DT, your cordless may be the problem...unplug, and let charge overnight. If problem continues, replace the battery in cordless, or discontinue use.

This phone system should only have one physical phone jack connection as all the handsets are wireless. It sounds like you may be getting your phone service via your Internet Service Provider. It would help to know how you are connecting your home telephone wiring to your equipment.

Uniden Dect 6.0 d1384-2 display says searching

I have the uniden 3005 accessory handset that pairs with the uniden 3015. I tried all the above holding down of buttons etc. none of that worked. I finally rang uniden and the technician said to put the accessory phone on the base unit where it's connected to the phone line. This worked and the phone registered, then I returned it to its own base that it came with. Uniden need to amend their manual wording so that it reflects the above steps.

There are two main types of Caller ID used in the US, most Uniden phones will work with either type, you just need to set it to type "A" or type "B". If you will post your model I will be happy to tell you how to change it or you can call Uniden Customer Service at 800-297-1023

We've had the same problem with our new Uniden phone. Sounds like someone's on the other line - no dial tone and answering machine doesn't work. The telephone line works though because we plugged our old phone in and it works fine. Any solutions anyone?
