Question about Vacuums

Need instructions for 8qt pressure cooker, model 65999. All it has on lid is a dial which says 'open', 'low', & 'high'. If it had a pressure guage it wouldn't be a problem, but I have never worked with a pressure cooker with a low - high dial. Please advise.

It would be helpful if you can provide the make / brand name of the pressure cooker. This will help me with finding the instructions for you. Usually the high setting is 15psi and the low setting is 8psi. You can see some information at this site.

Not sure if you are still awaiting some response as I have already indicated the range of the high and low indications on the dial.

It would be helpful if you rate the solution or seek further information. It is usually not common to have instructions available for these sorts of kitchenware type pressure cookers.

Hoover vacuum model UH72011 knob that raises and lowers the height setting will not turn.

I have manually grabbed the rollers and pulled as I turn the dial. Sounds like there may be debris inside, keeping it from turning? Let me know if that works!

I dropped and broke the lid for my West Bend Crockery Cooker Model 84367 and cannot find a replacement. I have really tried. Is there any available anywhere. The cooker is in excellent shape but useless...

Just a suggestion. Take your cooker to your local appliance parts place and if they don't have the exact one, they should have one that will work. Or they will know where to get it.

When I try to set the time on my electric wolfgang puck pressure cooker, I get an "E4" and a beep. What is the problem?

I actually have one I use all the time at home. We LOVE it but this seems to a common issue.
the problem is a Signal Switch Malfunction. It has to do with the power switch and the pressure switch from what I have been able to find out. Mine doesn't have a pressure problem it just goes to E4 once you set the time. I gave the switch a good smack and it has been working for a while. This is the second time and this worked both times now. I am sure the switch will have to be replaced at some time.
I have come across this error when I am cooking rice and then trying to pressure cook something else immediately after. I have found that If I release the pressure valve and manually let the steam release, then my chances of getting the getting the E4 errror are less, but it recommends not to do that. :( Another way I have gotten rid of the code was to open the machine. Let it cool off by washing the lid and pulling the pan inster out of the base and let that cool as well. Then I will unplug the machine and basically start all over. The error will go away after some time either way, it's just unfortunate that it can't go from meal to meal when you have several different dishes you need to make. Don't THROW away your machine with an E4 error, just give it time to reset

My pressure cooker is not sealing. About 10 minutes into the cook cycle, steam and liquid start seeping out of the lid. I've checked to make sure the rubber ring in the lid is in place and restarted it...

I would say that you have a good solution for your problem. The seal could be bad. With the issue of pressure, it does not take much to make a leak. Is the leak in the same place? If so, make a mark on the outside of the lid and when the lid is removed, check the seal at this point. Sometimes it is a dirty seal or a small crack that can be the problem. I am not sure how much a seal costs, but you might want to install a new one.

I purchased a Sears Counter Craft Crock Watcher crock pot at an Estate Sale, but there is no instruction booklet. It has low, high, and auto shift on the dial. Can you help provide some instructions for...

From a couple of different slow cooker manuals - most I looked at are the same:

When in the AUTO setting, the slow cooker will begin cooking on HIGH and then will shift to LOW after approximately 2 hours of cooking time. AUTO setting does not turn off the unit. Other favorite recipes may be adapted to the slow cooker. All times listed in the following chart are approximate and should serve only as cooking guidelines.

Regular Cooking Slow Cooker Cooking Times

1 (Low) 2 (High) AUTO

30 minutes 6-8 hrs. 3-4 hrs. 5-7 hrs.

35-60 minutes 8-10 hrs. 5-6 hrs. 6-8 hrs.
1-3 hours 10-12 hrs. 7-8 hrs. 8-10 hrs.
