Question about Intel PENTIUM-4 865GV CHIP MOTHER BOARD (MBP4I65GV) Motherboard

MotherBoard Sound jumper settings. Intel D865GLPeso Extream.

I have installed a used D865GL Peso board, I believe it may be an ex server board. Sound drivers all installed OK. But still no sound. Can't track down a user manual to check jumper settings. I'm running a P4 3.2 / 800 with dual ram, Runs increadably fast and very well. Any advice will be greatly appriciated... Rin.

Computer would not boot up to any screen. Power Supply checks OK. Blew out with air compressor to clean and then found a circuit board jumper at bottom of the desktop. I Need jumper settingssettings for the motherboard to see if that will fix the problem. Thank you in advance.

Did you get an error message during install of the (system with the SATA 160GB drive)? Make sure the 160GB drive is shown in the bios. Than go to the title, Boot in the bios & make sure the SATA 160GB is listed in the boot order. (Preferred 3rd. boot device)
Please go to the SATA drive's manufactures site & download either their bootable floppy or CD setup software. (It’s free)! Use their software to setup the FAT & cluster size on the drive. You can even set other features that neither the bios or windows can do. Format the 160GB drive with the software as well. The manufacture's software does a better job than windows. If the 160GB drive is a SATA 2.0 leave the jumper on the drive alone. The Desktop Board supports four Serial ATA channels (3.0 GB/s) via ICH7, connecting one device per channel.
Again, please run the manufactures setup software for your SATA 160GB drive. (Disconnect any other drives that may be in the system until windows is installed).

Good luck ameyaniks!

Restart win operating

Have a look at the bios and see if it loses the time, it may be the cmos battery is flat, and also in the standard cmos settings, enable Halt on all Errors and it may give a clue to the fault.
