Mitel sx 50 system

How do you disable a call forwarding to cell phone from main number.
how do you turn back on auto attendant...

    The LCD screen within the console looks like ink spilled on it. The auto attendant does not work, and extension to extension does not work either. HELP!!!!

You can switch to "night" mode on the console and the incoming calls should ring on the cordless. try it.

The console uses 3 pair USOC wiring from the console to the jack on the control card. Look at the Mitel provided cable from the console. It should be 6 pin and you can make sure the console is functional by moving it to the cabinet and plugging it in. If it works, you need to cable 432516 straight through on a 6-wire modular plug and terminate it in the same order on a jack where the console is. They must be paired for the long run.

I have a huge non-indexed pdf of an SX-50 if you need it. The console explanation is figure 5-14 of the -200 practice if you have it.

This is a "Class of Service " option, in the system programing under class of service look for the option "call forward to external Destination" this needs to be set to allow.

SOURCE: Our phone won't allow us to call 866 numbers

It's in a table of allowed numbers. If you're familiar with the system, you ought to be able to find where 800 and 888 are allowed. Just add 877,866 and 855 as entries.

If ARS is implemented, you'll find your entry in the 700 table, maybe :-)
I don't envy you if that is the case.

Also, try resetting the Mitel Server by powering off and back on; typically takes 5 minutes for the phones to come back on. If this doesn't work you may have a ONS Card that needs to be replaced; contact a service technician who can diagnose the issue.

Why my mitel sx-50 shows message on console no communication?


The phone line between the SX-50 console and the main control is disconnected or the console may need to be rebooted (unplug the phone line then reconnect it). If this doesn't solve it then contact your PBX system support person.

Printer queue is full on sx-50 attendant console


This is explained in the SX-50 system maintainer's handbook, 2 copies of which came with your SX-50 when it was new. However, this is a pretty old piece of phone equipment (30+ yrs) and when these systems were originally set up by outside service companies, it was not unusual for them to take the manuals so that customers would not be tempted to tamper and would call the service co instead. However, all is not lost. There is a very good Mitel support group on Tek-Tips (www.tek-tips.com) On tek-tips the Mitel forum is under Home->Forums->Wiring Closet->Phone Systems->Mitel Networks Solutions Forum. You will need to register in order to post. Hope this helps.

We have an old mitel PABX console system with this info on the back: 9102-018-000-NA (serial #ACAAZ45-15). Don't have a manual and need one. Any ideas?


Well, you could just put that number in a search engine and get some pretty good hits. You would find that it belongs to an SX-20 Generic 500/503.

Want to divert calls from one Mitel Superset 4025 to another.


Under the Blue Superkey, there is an option for Call Forwarding.

Go to the call forwarding and put in the extension that you want to forward to, and then enable it.

To disable the call forwarding, you have to go back into the Blue Superkey and disable the call forwarding from there.

It's either that, or your system programmer may have given you a call forwarding button on the set to enable and disable easier.

Negative, the SX 50 does not support CID. You can upgrade the Mitel or use a CID Multi line interface to a PC. Here is one such model.
