USB wireless adapters according to me are worthless. I have seen a lot of people complain of range limitations(some of them lose signal 15ft from the access point/router). It is always good to use a wireless card instead of a USB adapter unless its has an external antenna on it..

Are you telling us that you are using a Bluetooth adapter to try to connect your ASUS N50Vn laptop.to a wireless network??? For that you need a (wireless) network adapter (it plugs into an available USB port on your laptop. like the BT adapter), not a Bluetooth adapter.

The gigabit ethernet connection should be located on the back just below the audio ports. It looks like a slightly large phone jack.
If it fails, go to your local walmart and pick up a Netgear 300n wireless adapter to plug into a USB port.

It is possible that the Xbox will be unable to pick up the wireless signal being transmitted by your gateway because the signal is too weak.

The connection speed of your internet has nothing to do with the strength of the signal. The best way to test this would be to try to connect to your wireless internet on a laptop while sitting near the xbox. If you cannot, you will know that the signal isn't powerful enough to reach that location.

There are three common options to amplifying your signal if necessary.

1) Purchase a High-gain antenna for your wireless gateway
2) Purchase a wireless repeater
3) Purchase a new router/gateway with a longer range capability. A "Wireless N" enabled router would be optimal for this application.

HP 530 wireless will not pick up any wireless networks. Please help

Hi.

First ensure that the wireless adapter is turned on.

If the adapter is on and does not detect any network, reinstall wireless network adapter drivers. the drivers can be obtained using the link below.

Download drivers and software

Reinstalling driver software usually fixes the problem, if it does not it usually means that the internal adapter is defective, in that case you will need to use an external wireless adapter (USB).

Problem with 2Wire 802.11g Wireless USB Adapter

Were you using a different wireless adapter prior to the USB version you now have? Here is where I am going, It may be using the settings for the old network adapter. There could be a redundancy, this happens all the time, the best way is to start from scratch. Just use the wizard to establish a new connection. You may see the old connection while doing this, in which case I would delete it. If you rt click on my network, the icon on the desktop, and select properties, it will walk you through a new connection, this way you know that you are starting from scratch. Good luck, and let me know if this doesn't work for you, we can eliminate the obvious and look deeper, make sure to put the same encryption and key in when you set up good luck

Try to setup home wireless network to share two home computer

Connect the home wireless network router box to the main PC through an ethernet cable with the PC powered off and the home wireless router powered off, then power on the PC & the router. Vista should locate the new wireless network and follow the windows vista network setup procedures. After the wireless network has been detected you then while the second PC's power is shut off you connect dongle adapter to the PC power on and XP will locate the new adapter. You will probably have to enter your networks pin for the connection.
Get back to me when you complete these steps.
Try next time contacting me through an online chat session. We can resolve the issue quicker while chatting together.
