What is the gain/sensitivity set too? if its 80-100% lower it. Does that model have a battery? If so pop the battery out and back in after changing the gain.

Can I scan items like Jewelry that are not totaly flat? Is there a way to increase the depth of field on the HP Photosmart Premium C303

Yes, if mostly flat. I would be tempted to cover it with a blanket or something else to cut outside light if you can't close the cover.
Never heard of increasing depth of field on a Photosmart. I seriously doubt it can be done! I think you get what HP gives you.

My computer says i need to change my color depth, how do i do so?

You can change the color depth by right clicking on the desktop, click on properties, click on settings. You will see something as color quality, you can change it, thats also known as color depth.

IMAC 2007 GOES INTO FREEZE MODE WHEN IMPORTING MOTION PITCURES FROM DMC-TZ2

You mean you have to power the thing down and restart to get anywhere? (Never used freeze mode intentionally, myself...there's a sleep mode though.) It sounds like some add-in associated with the camera is messing things up! Try downloading an updated version if possible; it may instead be that the Finder or a plugin to -that- is driven mad by the odd format that is digicam motion JPEG, and that you can convince it not to preview those somehow or make it wait until the file's all imported.

You totally classified your iMac problem as a Panasonic PC Desktop problem. Steve Jobs will be by to dope-slap you shortly you freaking philistine.
