No audio on hdmi input

Are you using this HDMI input through an AV receiver, satellite or cable box, or directly into the TV? HDMI connectors are a well known issue for going bad mechanically(the jack itself) I have advised 100's of technicians throughout the USA, during my last employment at Pioneer. These connectors are very difficult to replace, as the pins on the connector are very small and close together.

Thank you.

Broken connector in subwoofer connection on receiver

The only thing you do is to open your receivers, then locate the output connector if you see the female RCA jack ,then push it out the broken piece ,that's it

One HDMI input creates a sound problem - only faint and tinny sound.

Unless the jack is physically damaged, then the entire digital pcb would need to be replaced. Sometimes just the jack can be replaced, but that is a pretty tricky repair.

The hdmi input # 1 and # 3 do not work, only input # 2 and # 4 work. why?

Either they are turned of in the option menu of the set or the signal/main board has a logic switching problem, or the HDMI jacks themselves are bad. You can take a flash light and look into the jacks to see if any of the pins are bent. If they are, the board that they are soldered to must be replaced. I would double check the option menu for setting up the inputs of the tv. This would be my first guess.
I hope this helps.

I have a Pioneer reciever that does not have a hdmi input, also There is 1 optical input on it that my cable box is hooked up to. I have not opened the ps3 yet because I'm not sure how to get the sound to...

ps3 comes with an av jack set as well as hdmi. now you can use the hdmi to the TV and run audio out from the TV to the receiver and that should work but if you don't have audio out on the TV then you need to go get the av cable

I have a motorolla DSR505 sattelite receiver that I want to connect to my Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K audio/video receiver. The sattelite receiver has a DVI output jack so I have a DVI to HDMI cable to connect it...

The DVI output usually transmits only video (I'm almost 90% sure about this). It would be better if you did not use the DVI to HDMI cable. Receivers and displays can be very picky when it comes to using HDMI. Your Motorola DSR505 has other output options on its rear. I would suggest using the Component out for video (the 3 outputs colored green, blue and red) and either an optical or coaxial for the audio. The Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K has the required inputs. Of course, you would require new component and coaxial/optical cables to do the job.
Hope this helps. If you're still in a tangle, you can consult the Official Thread on the Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K on avsforum. There are a lot of helpful people out there.

Blue ray lap top to hook up to tv with cable

If your laptp has Blue Ray DVD it likely has an HDMI out jack. Connect this to the HDMI input of you tv. If you TV does not have and HDMI jack but had a DTV jack then get an HDMI to DTV adaptor.

Hook up

The Pro 1000HDI has 1 HDMI input while the pro1000HD does not. Get a good set of component cables and that will upscale to 1080I you'll be fine
