Sony HandyCam SR10(NTSC) working with my Philips 21PT2443 model
Will my Sony Handycam SR-10 (Planning to buy from US) work directly on my Philips 21PT2443 model (bought in India) ?
The product specification mentiones that the TV supports PAL as "TV system" and NTSC (4.43, 3.58) as "Color System".
I cudn't find this configuration part either in the TV manual or the TV menu for changing the Color system from PAL to NTSC to view my HandyCam videos, and switch back to PAL to view the normal cable TV programs...
Re: Sony HandyCam SR10(NTSC) working with my Philips...
Now I am in the same situation as you were.
I am planning to buy one sony camcorder from US. But it supports only NTSC.
But My TV is philips 29PT7322, User Manual says it supports, NTSC and PAL colour systems. But I am not sure it works or not.
Can you please help me with your experience.
Thanks in advance,

I'm sorry to inform you that the TV cannot be used directly with PAL color system. However, you can use a PAL to NTSC converter to resolve the issue. You can get the PAL to NTSC converter from any local Electronics Shop.
Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
It sounds like you have a standard problem. Is the TV you are using, that gives the black and white picture, the same as the other ie, both NTSC or PAL and both on RGB or Y-C or S-Video? Check to see what is required and set the DVD player accordingly. Hope that helps.
Your TV model has only NTSC system with it. No PAL or SECAM. It is not a mutisystem compactable one. Check whether your DVD has NTSC playback option. If it has, you can see discs writed in NTSC system through your TV. If it has not equipped with that system, it is useless for your TV. Sony KV32FS120 and KV36FS120 models are only meant of US standard, and have only NTSC system with it. Ok.
Lets get started. First the TV you have does not have the new ATSC digital tuner built in. It uses the old NTSC tuner. You might find a few stations, however most major networks have gone Digital because the maximum power for NTSC is limited to 1000 watts.ATSC is the new digital standard for broadcasting both High Definition programs as well as standard definitions programs. So you will need a Digital converter box. They sell them at Radio Shack for around $60. You can get one on ebay for around $25.You will also need and antenna. A good old set of rabbit ears will work fine if you not to far (less than 25 miles) from the transmission towers. If your out in a rural area (greater than 25 miles from the tower) you may want to consider and outdoor antenna. Antennas Direct is a great source for antennas. http://www.antennasdirect.com/ You can also get help estimating what kind of antenna you need at this web site: http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx However you may want to consider buying a new TV which will have a new ATSC tuner built in.You will still need and antenna. Hope this helps.
I gave you exact and correct lamp part number of KDF-E55A20 and explained in previous reply that there is no difference between XL-2200 and XL-2200U lamp. both are same, first on came with new TV and second one is its replacement number.
