Use a clean and dry business card to set the gap. That is almost perfect for the .006" setting.
Good luck!

What is the Air Gap on a Poulan Pro PVB 200 Blower?

I am not sure of the exact gap but I have been told you can use a business card thickness to set the gap. You might try that. Hope this helps. In addition, go to youtube.com videos will show you how to do it.

How to set the ign. modualer on leaf blower

You have to set an "air-gap" on the ignition module between the legs of it and the magnets in the flywheel. Use a standard size business card as your "feeler gauge." Fold it in two. Place it in between the legs of the module and the flywheel. Turn the flywheel until the magnets line up with the coil legs and let the magnets draw the module into it. Tighten the hold down screws. Remove the business card. Your "air-gap" is now set at approximately .010" Closer is better, wider is not.

Poulan BVM200 LE leal blower it about 4 years old and has no spark. It work well last fall. Must the ignition module be replaced. Thanks, Rick

hi rick

if the plug is ok and kill switch and wire have been isolated from the ignition unit

and the earth is good for the armature legs on the coil - then yes the ignition module must be replaced and the air gap set to 0.010 "

a fair bit of work involved in replacing coil in one of these units !!!

ps make sure compression and muffler are ok and have a look up the ex port and check rings / piston and bore for any damage before parting with any cash for new coil

and dont be tempted to use stale fuel mix in your blower it can cause a lubrication fault
resulting i damage to piston / rings etc

I have a Poulan BVM200VS gas blower. The plug won't fire. It has a new spark plug and a new ignition module. The kill switch is good. What little wiring there is seems to be good. If you spin the flywheel...

It is possible that the gap between the module and the flywheel is not correct. This gap is usually set with some thin card stock or possibly a playing card.

It is important that this gap is not too large.
