Hi. I guess there is something wrong with your keyboard. Here is another way on how to get the @ sign. Press and hold the ALT key then press 6 then 4 the release the ALT key. This is interim solution only if you want to get the ALT key sign. I suggest to have your computer fixed by ACER for this is still under warranty.

First check to make sure the keyboard is set to the correct language as followed.
Click Control Panel
Click Regional Settings
Switch to use the "US English" setting
