Need more info. What is the motherboard model # ? Such as:
945G7MA-S or something like that. If you can't find the model #, download System Information for Windows (SIW). Get the SIW Without Installer (English-Only) version :
http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html

Once SIW is running, click "motherboard" in the left margin to see the MOBO model #.

G31MX-K 2.0 ram

Hello the mainboard homepage is here:

http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=motherboard&U=en-us0000419

From here you can download a manual if you don`t have it.
If you have insertet a wrong ram module the pc will not boot.
And then a beeb code will appear.
But i think you have a defect ram module.

Your mainboard supports:

Dual channel DDR2 800/667 x 2 DIMMs, Max 4GB

That means you can not add more than 4 gb of ram.
It could be the fault if you have added more than that.
The fault could also be overheating of the cpu.
Remove the cooling fan and clean it for old cooling paste
Then add new cooling paste and mount the fan again.
If you are not familiar with that job let a expert do it.
The fault could also be the harddrive.

Good luck

Does dual core processor support Foxconn P9657AA-8EKRS2H mother board

The Foxconn P9657AA-8EKRS2H motherboard has a LGA 775 Socket. It will support Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Extreme, and Core 2 Duo processors with an FSB of 1066 (800MHz). Thus is should support the dual core 775 processors. (Some Pentium 4, Pentium D and Celeron D CPUs may also be compatible with the board.)

I hope this helps.

Sir/Maam, i have intel celeron D331 processor 775 lga socket . i want to upgrade Motherboard, can i use ecs G31T-M7 (775 lga socket)? if not, what board brand/model do i have to use?i want latest ddr2...

As long as the socket is the right type for the processor, you can use the motherboard. Just be aware that changing the motherboard won't make the processor any faster, so you might not see a big performance improvement unless you upgrade the processor along with the motherboard and RAM. Many vendors offer package pricing on motherboard/CPU combinations, so you may want to look into that.

ONN N15235 motherboard, which is a 775 socket. I am currently running a Pentium E2160 on its but its pretty slow so I bought an E5400 to replace it. When I changed the CPU over and started up my computer...

The LGA 775 processor socket doesn't matter, calderwooddu.

It's up to the motherboard chipset, and the BIOS program, and version, of what that Foxconn N15235 will support. I would go back to the Pentium Dual Core E2160, use CPU-Z from CPUID.com, (Free), and see what the motherboard chipset is, first.

(Motherboard chipset: The Northbridge, and Southbridge chips. Chip is slang for I.C. Integrated Circuit)

The Northbridge chip is what determines what Processors are supported.

1) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Motherboard_diagram.svg

2) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northbridge_%28computing%29

Since the E2160 is built upon the 65nm technology, and the E5400 is built upon the 45nm technology, the Northbridge chip of the Foxconn N15235 may not support the E5400.

With the technology change are also Instruction Set changes. Plus other parameter changes. The BIOS program, and version on the Foxconn N15235 may not support these, either. Sorry to be a bummer.

Not a solution per se, Yet.

Need to know what computer this Foxconn mobo is out of. (MOtherBOard)
OR, if you get the computer operational again, let's use CPU-Z to see what the motherboard chipset is.
Need help in downloading, and/or installing CPU-Z, post in a Comment.

REPLACE FAULTY CPU CELERON 3.06GHZ WITH PENTIUM 4 CPU

Your motherboard specs are at http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_spec.aspx?ID=en-us0000152

Looks like you could go up to a 3.8GHz P4, make sure you get a fan that will cool it properly.
