How can i boost and speed up my Wifi network reception ?

Firstly download WiFi Analyser from Google Play store and compare you WiFi with others in your area. This will enable you to change the channel. Change channel by logging into your router - 192.168.1.1.
Try moving your router to a more central place in your home and use the analyser to check if any improvement.
Next try a wireless extender. This will drop your speed a little but give a stronger signal in weak areas.
Also try power line adapters.
If you are using a few devices ensure that you are not mixing wireless g and n products at same time. Using a g product will mean that your whole wireless will be running at that speed even when your other device is n. If you need both connect another g router to one of the n router LAN ports with dhcp disabled. That way you can have the two devices connected at the correct speed.
Some routers will let you connect a bigger aerial which could boost you reception. Some devices have very poor wireless antennas - seems you what you pay for in this area.

I just bought a laptop and I wanna connect to wifi how can I do it?

First you must understand that wi-fi only works within a certain distance from the wireless router. It's not like cellphone reception where the wireless provider installs cells throughout the countryside to make sure that you can get reception. You have to either get your own internet connection to your house and your own wireless router, and then you have to install the wireless router, or you have to go to a coffee shop or other establishment (public library?) that provides its patrons free wireless internet while they are on the premises. Once you do one of those two things, then (in Windows 7) you have to click on the network connection icon in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, then click on the name of the wireless network that you want to connect to and click "connect", and then if prompted, type in the network key for that network. After this, you should be connected to the internet wirelessly as long as you are within range of that wireless router.

Apple Macbook Pro does not connect to wireless network

The antennas in the Macbook Pros have had an issue with reception due to the aluminum housing of the laptop but, should still receive decent reception just not as much as a plastic Macbook or plastic PC laptop. It could be possible that the antenna's cables have become disconnected from the Airport Extreme card inside your Macbook Pro, that the card itself is faulty or damaged or that the Antennas themselves have been damaged in some way. As always make sure you have the latest updates and have installed any driver updates from Apple regarding your Airport Extreme card. Here's an article that may help eliminate any wireless interference that may be affecting your signal strength. Apple - Wireless Interference hope this helps, if so don't forget to comment, vote, etc. Thank you.

My wireless adapter does not detect any reception from the router. i have another laptop at home that could easily detect reception from the router. what should i do?

since the laptop is connecting to the router and is having the internet access as well then clearly the problem is with the adapter or with the pc using the adapter.

Following steps can be considered :-
1)If the PC is using OS as windows XP then , click on start menu and then go to control panel and then open network connections from there.
2)Under network connections an option for wireless connection exist , right click on that option and then click on properties.
3)Under wireless network connection properties there are three tabs general , wireless network and advanced.
4)Left click on wireless network tab and check the box which says use windows to configure my wireless setting's and click OK at the bottom.
5)Then , Right click again on wireless network connection and then left click on view available wireless network.
6)List of available networks will be there , select the network you use and try connecting to it , if it gets connected then the internet access will be there.

Wireless reception has degraded almost completely

this may not be a good solution but yeah you have to coz maybe your wireless network card is getting too much "noise/interference" from any other sources.

You'll need to go into the administrative interface of the router and enable the wireless network and then you should be able to see if from any laptop/PC with a wireless networking card in it.
