What did you do before this problem started?
I am assuming that you have tried a different USB port, if that doesnt work a different computer?

    found the problem only use genuine sony leads tried some cheapys thats was problem thanks

could be a problem with the drivers or your usb port try using usb port with another device if that is ok plug in your keyboard chip and see if windows recognizes it if it does not then there is a problem with device

I have lg ms690 mobile device. When I attach the usb to my laptop, I get the message - one of your USB devices is malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. I downloaded an updated version and still...


Ok I experienced this problem before..try to plugged your phone to the other usb port of your laptop try it at the back the power of the usb port there is sufficient to make your device to function properly..I tell you this because some of the usb port except from the back of a pc CPU gives insufficient power to a usb device that can make the usb that was plugged in it not work properly and not recognized by windows.

My external hard drive does not appear in the my computer. i cannot open it and retrieve my file. it is recognized by the usb port but otherwise it is not accesible. i tried connecting it to other computer...


Hi Kuting_Jod, try to look out for a manual and a driver CD in theoriginal package for instructions - how to get your computer to recognizemy hard drive.

Uninstall all the usb controller from USB controller
and now restart the computer.

USB Memory Key not Recognized on Desktop running Windows Vista


check the formats of the keys. if they are NTFS they might not be recognized by earlier Windows versions. What version of windows does the laptop computer use? It may be as simple as using the correct formatting (FAT or FAT32) on the USB memory key.

try using different USB port. if the it is unknown device. means the machine didn't recognized the device. you may have to install the device driver. (windows is a funny thing).

Says camera is not connected to computer


I'm assuming that you are using a Windows based machine? If so, try another computer. If the camera is recognized when you plug it in, you have a software / driver issue and it's not in the camera. Just plug the computer into any other computer and don't bother with the software.
