Mouse will not respond at all. Have completely disconnected and then reconnected. Tried reboot. Tried hard shut down from power source. Let sit for over an hour. WILL not respond. Is it dead?

connect your mouse to another computer and if the mouse works the problem is with the motherboard take the motherboard to te chip level technition the packet resistance and capacitor is open need to replace them
